Here are some of the pictures of the tail lights that I vinyled over this weekend. Smoked/tinted the entire tail light on this BMW E60 535i. Yes, it is a film that I use, not spray/paint/etc.

Nice! How many different shades you have for tail lights? If you car is always parked outside, how long will it last until fading, peeling, etc? What's the average installed price?

Here are pictures of the tail lights that I tinted with a red vinyl film for on this Subaru WRX. I cut out the reverse/turn light pieces for him as well.

For those who don't know what these tails looked like before I tinted it, here's a stock picture for reference.

Blacked out the window trim on this E60 5 series with some matte black vinyl. They were originally chrome, and the owner wanted to get rid of them, to go with a more blacked out/murdered out look for his car. Everything is done in one piece, no seam lines anywhere, even on the rear doors where it curves downwards.

I forgot to take some before/after pictures, until I was half way done, so here's the best I have of a comparison of the chrome (bottom trim) compared to the trim that I wrapped (top trim) already in matte black.

Finished result:

Been doing quite a few tail lights. Here are some pictures of the tails that I tinted/smoked with a vinyl/film on this BMW E60 5 series.

Another fellow Orange County member on another forum that I am on came by with his white E60 BMW M5 to have his roof vinyl wrapped with the 3M di noc carbon fiber.

Here are some pictures that I took of it. Let me know what you guys think.

Nice work DonNguyen

But I have to say that the M5 is hot - black gloss window trims, black wheels, black exhaust tips, black side gills, and black grill. Perfect contrast - I would only change the roof to gloss black - not a fan of CF vinyl (just my $0.02)

I had a car come by (E92 BMW 3 series coupe), to have me vinyl wrap his window trim with black vinyl to cover the chrome/aluminum finish. He had done one side, but decided that he wanted me to finish/wrap his other side. He had originally purchased some "matte black" vinyl from another competing vendor.

Note the differences in the finish between my vinyl and my competitors vinyl, and how my material actually has a black sheen/finish to it compared to theirs, which is almost a faded black or greyish color (this was brand new material, that the owner had just purchased/put on a week before). Also note, I did not do the install on this side of the window trim, as I do all of my window trim installs in a single continuous piece, without any seams.

Luckily for the owner of this car, I have several shades of black that I keep on hand, and was able to match the material he had already used. This saved him from having two different shades on either side of the car, or having to completely redo the window trim that was already done.

Although I vinyl/black out window trims fairly often, it's not too often/common that I have someone request or ask me to wrap their window trims in gloss black (instead of matte black).

So for those who are curious what it looks like, this is what a gloss black vinyl wrapped window trim looks like. Did this on an E46 BMW 325i black coupe. Owner drove from Fullerton/Orange County.

Ran across pictures of this car that I did several months back. The owner of this car drove up from San Diego area, or around Carlsbad, to me in Orange County to have me vinyl wrap his roof in gloss black material. It is a Mercedes E55, and I think the color of the car is called pewter. I think the gloss roof and the color of the car went nicely together.

Pictures of this silver 7th(?) gen Honda Accord that I vinyl wrapped the roof with in gloss black. Note his hood is real carbon fiber, so it's a good comparison for those who are trying to figure out what they want to go with, who have either a cf hood and or trunk. The owner of this car came from Pasadena out to me in Orange County to get it done.

Cool car, with mods/styles that you don't see anymore these days, like you did back around ~2000.

Don, do you happen to have some any pictures of smoked C63 taillights? I want to do something with my taillights that would look fresh but doesn't get me any tickets!

Here are pictures of Joe @ Trinity's E60 M5 that I vinyl wrapped the roof with in the 3M di-noc carbon fiber material. A fellow Irvine/Orange County car, so he was right down the street from me, almost quite literally. Didn't have much room to take the pictures, but I tried doing what I could.

Installed gloss black vinyl on this white IS300. Car was from Anaheim/Orange County. The car had a carbon fiber trunk that was tinted/painted lightly black, to give the weave a more subtle effect.

These pictures will show those of you who've asked how a black roof looks like with a roof spoiler that's not black and still left body colored.

Here are some pictures of a white E92 BMW 335i that I vinyl wrapped the roof in gloss black vinyl. The car came up to me in Irvine from south orange county. Don't mind the antenna, I didn't put the antenna cover for it back on yet when I took these pictures.

Now note, it's not really possible...actually let me rephrase that...it's not really practical to wrap some of the grills that are out there, due to its design and shapes. However, this one is one of those exceptions.

Sorry for the pictures, I didn't have much lighting, and had to use a flash to even get the weaves to show. Let me know what you guys think.

so is the regular c63 grill "unwrappable" in your opinion? I wanted to have it done and thought some guys had gone this route.

It may be a good DIY project, for someone who doesn't mind spending a couple of hours of their own time doing it, but from my standpoint, it's not worth it.

Personally, if it were my own car, I wouldn't bother. It is somewhat possible, but you're going to have to make a lot of cuts for the support brackets between the slats and then also wrap the round area/surface that the emblem sits in.

Here are pictures of tail lights that I tinted on a darker graphite colored C230 mercedes benz. The owner came from Glendale down to me in Orange County. I tinted the white turn signals on the tails, the turn signals on the side mirrors, and the amber reflector/light on the front bumper.

Here are pictures of the tail lights on a black E60 BMW 535XI that I tinted/smoked with a vinyl/film. Pictures are with the parking lights on, to show you how much light still shows/shines through the material. Owner of the car drove out to me in Orange County to get it done. Let me know what you guys think.

Here's a C300/C350 (don't remember which one it was exactly) that I did some tail light work on. I did a gloss black outline on his tail lights, similar to the tail lights that comes on the Brabus C classes. The owner of this car was from Long Beach, and I happened to be out in that area from Orange County, so I dropped by to do his tail lights for him. I also applied gloss black vinyl over his chrome rear trunk handle to add to the gloss/black theme.

Here's a stock photo of the tail light, to give a better side by side comparison of how it looked before/after.

Here are pictures of this white Nissan 350z that I vinyl wrapped his roof in gloss black. I think the owner of this car came up from San Diego to me in Orange County to have it done. The gloss black vinyl on his roof went well with his black face wheels and other black accents on the car, like the front lip/bumper.

Some quick pictures of a BMW E60 530, I believe, that I vinyl wrapped (bmw shadowline) the chrome window trim on in a matte black finish. The owner of this car came out from Long Beach to me in Orange County to have it done. Everything was done seamlessly, even around the rear door's curves, just like all of my wraps.
