I simply hate the way the single fog turns on when you corner... it makes the car look like you have a burned out fog lamp... anyway to disable it?

I'm sure they can be disabled with Star at the dealer, but the cornering fogs only work when the lights are in Auto Mode. You could just turn the headlights on manually, and don't pull the switch so the fogs aren't on. Than the cornering feature won't work

But you can disable them by turning the fogs on and keeping them on. If on, they don't go off and on even when you turn, etc..

Any MB techs on here know if this can be disabled for a fact in the Star DS?

Why the hell didn't MB just use the same technology Audi uses with the swiveling headlights...? Man I loved those in my S4.

Yeah. My "cornering " fogs only work with the switch in the AUTO position. If i turn the headlight switch all the way right, and just turn them on the "cornering fogs don't work. I always run my fogs anyway. I like the look, and see no real advantage to using the cornering feature.

does the manual show what each position of the headlight switch does? like what comes on and off...
to be honest, when i first looked at the headlight switch, all i could really figure out was auto and non-auto, ever since then i just left it in auto...
it seems like there are a crap load of combinations...

There's 4 positions not including the left/right parking lights. 1st: OFF, 2ns: AUTO, which also enables cornering fogs. 3rd: Running Lights, 4th: Headpights ON, Cornering Disabled, and if you PULL the switch TOWARDS you, the regular fogs will light, no cornering feature.
Now, with the switch in the OFF (1st) position, if you turn it once to the left with car off, the passenger side running lights will light, turn it twice to the left, and the drivers side parking lights will light.. This is used if you park on a dark street, so people can see where the edge of the car is..
Hope this helps!!

Yeeeaaahh, but that only applies at night.... I'm talkin bout during the day. It looks like something is wrong when you pull into a parking lot and just one fog lamp kicks on... ![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)

The C's headlamps don't swivel? They do with the E.
