alignment after coilover install
Are MB dealers the only people that can do alignments? I want to get coilovers, and I emailed a dealer and they said installing coilovers would 'affect my warranty status'.
Any thoughts?
TIA

Lots of places do alignments, but in my experience, the dealer is the only place to get an alignment done right - at least on M-Bs.
As far as the warranty, of course it will void your warranty, but only to the extent the modifications are responsible for damage to the car. I am hard pressed to think of anything that might break (or be allowed to break) due to coilovers. A wheel or tire might rub something, I suppose.

Sure---
My location is Clovis, NM aka BFE middle of no where new mexico. The closest dealership is about 120 miles away. The next biggest city is alburquerque, which is about 3 hr drive one way.
I don't know mind doing the coilover install myself since I have access to a lift, but I'm worried about how much damage I'll do to the car if I drive it 120 miles on those coilovers without them being properly balanced and such.
Thanks
Paul
