Non MM pkg Ipod wont work
Guys, I am happy new owner of an 09 C63 AMG. I am coming from a 997 C4 and have also owned a E46 m3 in the past. I am totally loving the car but am finding small things which bother me.
My car is a non MM package car, so its got that tiny screen in the middle, and has an Ipod adapter (white ipod cable in glove box). I have tried to figure out how to get this thing to work. I am unable to find any audio options besides disc and radio on the main screen in the front.
I spent some time searching this forum and found that I had to access it using the steering wheel controls. I would select audio with my steering wheel but when I hit ok, it just simply listed radio stations and nothing more. No AUX selection or IPOD selection.
I only currently have access to Iphones, but the 3 I tried it out on did not work (original, 3g, 3gs). Dunno if it's just an issue with the Iphone, but how am I suppose to correctly use the Ipod adapter cable, or even get it to play ?!! My car didn't come with a owners manual
so i have no way of looking up how to use it besides just plain trial and error. Help me out!

You should have the AUX option, this is how you access what is hooked up to the cable. If it it not there, I would suggest a quick trip to the dealer if it is close to where you live.

Thanks! Should that AUX option be on the dinky middle screen or on my steering wheel options when I scroll through Audio ? I guess I will be making a trip to the dealer.

It should be on the middle screen first to change it to AUX. Once it is selected then the options on the steering wheel will work and the name of the songs will show in the center dial

push the "disc" button on the dash, use the mouse thing to select "cd" at the bottom left hand corner of the screen and you should be able to choose "aux" as one of your options. At least, that's what activates the aux outlet in my non-mm c63.
