Shift bog? Eurocharged owners please look
Me and another board member were early adopters of the EC flash and ever since then we both have had a delay/bog on the 3-4 shift. At about 3200rpms, the car feels like it is going through some transition and then it will abruptly slam into the next gear. I have emailed EC to see if they have a new version of the tune since ours were done back in November and I am awaiting a reply.
Just curious if anyone else has a similar symptom.
I have tried the TCU reset and I have disconnected the battery a few times.

We do have a newer version of the tune available. All you need to do is send in your ECU to Jerry and he will take care of it for you

I had this problem with my kleemann tune when i first got it but from 1st to 2nd gear on kickdown! Then my dealer resetted my ECU during maintenance and after i sent it back for reflash now it shifts perfectly!

Call me crazy but why does the customer have to make a post about the problem in order to hear that there is a fix? Shouldn't Eurocharged have contacted their customers about the problem and offered the fix? That sounds like bad business to me.

Since the issue is intermittent and not all cars are affected, we (like every other tuner) only address the issues that are made known to us. It's not bad business and we address all customers issues quickly and efficientl

I love it when vendors compare a problem that they have and how they are handling it to other vendors. Nice one. Good way to keep customers and get new ones. The sad part is that i am in the market for a tune.

so how do you know if you have the old tune? i got mine in late Jan.
also, is this problem during normal driving? in C S M whichever? or is this WOT... cuz i don't recall feeling anything weird when i'm at WOT.
is it definitely noticeable?

My bog only happens in Manual mode when i am in third and not full throtle. It does not happen all the time and was difficult to pinpoint. I will get the update and according to everyone, that fixed the problem so it seems that the latest tune has no issues.

bring this thread back because i have had this issue for a while now and so far i've just been living with it... but every single time it happens, it annoys me... and if it weren't so random, i would have videos of this... but the few times i've tried to predict it happening and i'm recording it... i get nothing... i feel like as soon as i get it on video, i can try and get help with this issue...
i've had this issue from V4 of my eurocharged tune... i hoped v5 would fix it and it didn't... now there is talk of v6 and i'm hoping it will fix it...
if someone thinks it could be something else, i'm open for ideas...
my issue happens between 1-2 or 2-3 shift... and i think it never happens twice in a row...
i've had it happen in s mode and c mode but never m mode...
the description of the issue is just like OP has said... happens right before it's about to shift to the next gear

I have left the car w my shop foreman 3 times now. He noticed it a few times and thought it was the tune. He downloaded eprom data from the tranny on the last visit for germany to review and it came back saying everything was within spec and i need to continue driving the car so it can adjust to my driving style.
I'm truly happy with eurocharged and Jerry has been great so if this is a slight glitch in the tune im looking forward to v6.
In the meantime i have adjusted how i drive the car so that this occurs only once in a blue moon.
Bring on V6!

Funny. I got the V5 tune last winter, and immediately noticed a remarkable shift bog issue. I emailed EC and they asked me to reset the TCU learning by disconnecting the battery. Did that and it did not improve the situation at all. I sold the car soon after so didn't bother chasing this down, but interesting to note this wasn't just me.
This, combined with a misfire immediately after the first EC tune (EC sent me a new file) - my EC tune experience wasn't stellar. The customer service was great, but the product itself was only so-so from my experience.
Waiting for blkrokt and purpleheart, our resident EC advocates to chime in here with a vengeance, while EC goes silent. These threads usually all go the same way.

Having never met a single person from MBWorld, and therefore having no bias towards anyone, those guys seem to be two of the more knowledgeable individuals on this forum... from my experience at least.
