Just leaving to pick up the newly tinted car... did 15 in the back and 28 in the front. Pics tomorrow hopefully, or crappy iPhone ones later!

An additional noob question...

As I start getting used to the car, I've noticed a couple things that I'm wondering if someone can explain/verify...

1) In "C" mode, the car never goes into 1st gear. Is this just to make the takeoff less... um... violent, or is this part of the break-in and is programmed into the computer?

2) I find that the vehicle really slows itself down when just letting off the gas - and NOT downshifting manually, or it doing so automatically. What I mean is the car will be in 4th gear, approaching an intersection, and if I let off the gas to gradually slow down, even though the gear never shows a change from 4th down to 3rd or lower, the car almost feels like the engine IS in fact downshifting. Any thoughs/comments would be appreciated!

1.) Diving in C mode excludes 1st gear unless you shift it to first with the paddle shifter. C Mode is programmed this way to save fuel.

2. The engine has a compression ratio of 11.4 and displaces 6.2L. When you decelerate it takes a lot of momentum to turn the engine over and this in turn slows the car down more than you are used to. This is an example of engine braking.

Thanks for the info!

Well, I'll finish my break-in period on my way to work tomorrow morning. Can't wait to pop it out of C and start using the paddles! Just wish I had the summer tires on, but still a lot of snow and ice around.

I am breaking mine in M mode lol, fun stuff. 720 miles now. Will oil change at 1k and dyno. Hopefully I'll see some nice numbers from breaking her hard. She feels very strong since I've had her. Engine breaking isn't as jerky as the first few hundred miles. I'll keep you updated.
