12V in glovebox

Is there a special place where I can pass a wire through so I can have my phone outside with me but have it plugged in and charging and still able to close the glovebox?

Well I'd assume hes trying to cover up the charger which is most likely the whole point of his post.. considering most are quite obnoxious in size to have just laying around, especially around the shifter... this makes the ashtray outlet redundant to mention.

I don't think theres a way around it though. Maybe you could try closing the glovebox with the wire coming out, and if it's thin enough, perhaps there are a few nooks and crannies that will keep the glovebox closed but at the same time, have sufficient space to have the cable of the charger to come out? Highly doubt it, but I haven't really looked at my glovebox at all to be honest.. so I'm just guessing and giving ideas.

you could try to run it out the side panel next to the pass door where the ipod cable is? then up under the dash and to the center console

thanks for the reply guys..

i use the ashtray plug for my radar detector, and i've been using the power port behind the center console to charge my phone, but figured it would be a little cleaner to use the one in the glovebox if there was a way to do it without having to throw my phone in there as well.
