Seeing as this is most likely the last year of the normally aspirated C63, any chances MBZ will do a special edition for the last C63s like the Gelandwagen Grand Edition with special interior and badging?

Is there official confirmation that 2011 will be the last model year C63 to use the 6.2L V8? I've seen nothing on the new 5.5L TT S63 other than initial press release data and pics. The 4.6L TT that's supposed to supercede the 6.2L I've heard even less about, makes me think it won't be ready for 2012 unless they do a delayed release?

the initial rumors were that this year was the year for replacement of the 6.2 L V8, however now it looks like the turbo engine will come out later this year or next year and the C63 wont get the new engine, that would mean "IF" this rumor is true the new "C63" wont have the same motors as the rest of the AMG "63" line

The last part would make sense since the S63 gets a 5.5L motor (nomenclature is off). Maybe we'll get lucky and MB/AMG will use the 6.2 in the C class for a few more years.

Maybe the 63 N/A engine will remind in the C. Probably the new full body change for the C will be the TT engine.

Mercedes is getting to confusing with all these changes every damn year. It is getting annoying.

Look i posted at the E forum and found out that the 2011 E cab will be getting the new engine in 2012. I mean come on in a few months they changed and rolled in new engines for the E..... Dont you think people might get mad?? those that bought the current line up?? No one would think anything would change since it just got launched as a 2011 E CAB. LOL

So now the 2011 E Cabriolet is getting the 5.5L TT? What about the sedan and coupe? When are they supposed to be released? This is confusing... Kind of like Audi and the S5 coupe(4.2 V8) vs vert (3.0S V6)

W204 c63 will not get any change of motor till w205 comes out. At least that's what a member of AMG said in AMG lounge in a monthly chat.

The move from the 6.2 to turbo versions of smaller capacity motors has been driven by emissions legislation and or taxation in Europe and the US. I am of the view the 6.3 will change however I am unsure what it will change to.

I suspect AMG will use this as an opportunity to differentiate the C class from the E class (and above) by using either a reduced tune or a different motor from the 5.5lt.

Like most people I just want to know one way or another.

Talking to my tour guide at the AMG engine factory, the S class is the only car getting the TT motor. The C and E will continue with the 63 motor for now.

My 2011 c63 is at the dealer and I will pick it up this sat. I drop by yesterday to look at the car. There is nothing change. Same as 2010.

Where are you located? Was your build first decade of July? My 2011 is in transit I would assume. Is the headlight switch different in your 2011 then pre 2011? Did they use the switch from the SLS? Is the ESP button in the same spot?

I am picking up my 2011 C63 on Saturday as well. Had a 3rd decade of June build date. Still not sure what is different, but when I see it, I'll let you know.

I am from Canada, the build date is around June 15th-20th. i am not sure is the switch because when i check out my car. It still have cardboard and warp with plastic so i didn't really pay too much attention.

Even Money--decades refers to the time frame they use at the factory--they split it up in ten day intervals (not weeks, days, etc.)--who knows why

Surprised you guys are getting your cars so fast--I was told that MBUSA is not releasing the 2011MY C-class until the 2010 inventories are lowered--who knows, I guess you'll have some of the first 2011 C63s in NA.

I was hoping for the LED DRL too, now i can confirm no LED for 2011 C63.

My dealer told me my car will arrive around end of July, so is 1 week early.

I will try to upload some pics when i get the car, if i find out how to do it

Are you sure you got a 2011? I think the MY2010 cut off was end of June. July 1 forward are 2011s. I could be wrong though.corr

I am not sure the one arrived is 2010 or 2011. but i was ordering 2011 . i am going to find out is 2010 or 2011 tomorrow since i pick it up tomorrow.

Ditto. Please tell. Does the 2011 have the LED lights in the front like the sport c300 and c350? I saw the pics of the 2011s on mbusa.com over the weekend. The C63 site now says 2011 in one place, but everything else is old data.

The front clip on a C63 is molded to house the round fog lamps. I can't envision an led cluster fitting there without a design change. Of course if you really want them you could have a C350 clip installed????

Easy for MB to produce new insert with any shape led's which is the plan as I understand.

Actually i just pick up my car today. Everything is the same as 2010. NO LED front light. But AMG performance package is included LSD, also the premium package is included the back up camera. The price is increase from $6000 to $7800(Canadian dollar) for AMG performance package and premium package also increase the price.

Since everything is same as 2010 so i am not going to post pic, but if anyone want to see let me know. Thank you

What did they end up doing with "Tel Aid"? is it included in the multimedia or they just dont include it anymore? Is it a big deal?

I am not sure if Tel Aid is included in premium package, but is not a big deal for me. For multimedia if u mean media interface (Ipod, USB & AUX) then is included. Let me know if anyone have more question, i will try my best to answer u. Thank you.
