This is typical price and they sell very quickly over here! This one doesn't even have the Performance Pack (P30)!

Isnt 67K Euro 85K USD? Sorry, your conversion seems off in your previous post. Or my conversion is off...
48K is 61K USD. You pay more and you get more. Seems about the same depreciation. I would need the sale price on the 48K sale to compare.

AMG GT-S & GLE 63S Coupe
The current exchange rate is £1 to $1.52. Latest rates are on www.xe.com
So £67k is definitely over $100k and £48k is $73k.
And these prices are on the current very poor (for us in the UK) exchange rates - go back a couple of years when it was more like £1 to $1.80 and makes the UK prices seem even more expensive to you guys! We pay well over the odds over here but at least it's not as bad as some Asian countries and the poor guys in Australia who all seem to have to pay stupidly high taxes on imported cars!
Hope this helps

Let's say a 09 is selling 49K in the US, so 50K canadian. You pay around 10% import taxes and 2-3 grand in fees, gas guzzler tax, etc. Now you are 58K. A car from here will sell 3-5K more. Not worth it and the US car will be worth less on resale.

my C63 is put together very well in my opinion. even if as some say interior could look/feel a little more luxurious for a car in this price class. it does not do away with the fact the most recent MB's are put together better than they were during the times chrysler was still owned by MB. my wife had a C240 which was well build but had a lot of problems. there were a lot of complaints in the press about MB cars with a lot of problems and reliability issues and it was in that time that MB decided to go back to their roots of building quality cars that last and when you look at the current C63 i think it's screwed together a lot better than the 2000-2003 years MB's. even closing the doors feels a lot more solid. i have owned several audi's and several BMW's and i must say they were all great cars and at least for me i dont think there is a big difference in build quality between these top 3 german cars. in Germany (i lived there in 1992-1993) in general people give MB one up over audi and BMW and some believe Audi is one up over BMW but i am sure you can find responses the other way as well.

thanks for that great link.
To get back on the how well built the AMG is, I have tracked the car many times and nothing broke in the suspension, bushings, link kits, etc
that says a lot!

Cars are a waste of money. They are depreciate-except blue chip collectibles that you can't enjoy. Life is short. I bought mine-impulse style on the way to the hospital for Pre-admission testing for my second spinal fusion.
You can't take it with you. Yeah, you can save by buying a USED car-**** that. Its mine, I'm the only one that drives it. IMO, fit and finish is outstanding. All manufacturer's have problems with all models from time to time. But where are you going to get this much enjoyment-right off the showroom floor?
When I go-I'm not leaving a DIME to anyone.

As palmball said, in the uk the basic otr price is £52,925. There is a current merc offer of £4.3k dealer contribution on finance. This is a bit lower than last quarter when I ordered mine as iirc I got around £6k using a broker - so trunk money exists here too!
