help with choosing tire brand
I need to replace my stock rears which only lasted 5,000 miles. I wanted to upgrade the tire size to achieve more surface contact. I know people have installed 275/35/18 before so I have narrowed down my choices.
1. Nitto NT 555 Extreme
2. Hankook v12 evo K110
3. Continental Extreme Contact DW
4. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S
I know Number 1 & 2 are around $190 and 3 & 4 are around $250. I have read reviews on all the tires but they haven't been consistent. #4 looks like the only one that provides a warrenty and the treadwear is high. I am looking for a set of rear tires that will give me more than 5000 miles. I have a stock c63. Thanks for the help in advance.

I have 1k miles on rear 18" 265 V12's but am now running 19" PS2's. The Hankook is very grippy compared to the OE Pirelli...you will be pleasantly surprised how much better it lays down the power. The only downside IMO is that it feels a little "squishy" powering out of corners even though the grip is there.
