Blacked out emblems

Hey guys just got my palladium silver c63 and wanted to know what would be the best way to black them out. Would you need to remove them or buy new ones and black them out? How do guys get them emblems in the exact spot they were if you do take them off. I was thinking about going to a body shop. I'm thinking of going with a matte black. I also wanted to black out the strip above the license plate. How do you remove it? Thanks anyone who's done this please chime in.

If you're worried about getting them in the exact same spot, then mock with tape or a grease pencil before removal. You can either buy new ones, or use your existing one. I would take them to body shop, and have them powdercoated.

You can't powdercoat emblems. Some plastic black spray paint and your good. I bought an extra star emblem for the trunk and painted it. I believe the 204 guys are using some sort of black tape or black vinyl to cover the chrome strip.

.
Too much trouble. Either leave them or de-badge.
