This is the pedal on my C350 but if the C63 has the same design this install may be helpful.

I fear cutting into modern car wire harnesses so I opted for the traditional micro switch instead. I like to avoid permanent modifying and the existing holes in the pedal offered an easy install. I modified a standard micro switch plate to get rid of the excess material.
