People like this just baffle me....

I just had to share this story with you guys.
So im at the gas station, and I see this white CL63 rolling up with a young driver inside. So as im about to leave, this guy iradically swerves into a parking spot with one of those wheel stops in front of him. At this point im thinking to myslef "Dude, chill out, your at a friggin gas station". So this guy hops out of his car and the moron forgets to put the car in park!!!! He gets outta the car and the car its still moving forward!!! I hear a loud bang like someone smashed into something. The car completely goes over the wheel stop messing up his entire front bumper, complete under carriage, Wheels, Exhaust and rear diffuser. He was literally inches away from smashing into the wall infront of him before he jumped in the car and hit the brakes. I was standing there STUNNED. at this point im thinking to myself How irresponsible do you have to be to f*** up a $160,000 car like that? Such a shame....

Seems to me that he's not used to how the column shifter works... shifted the car to neutral instead of park. He probably "borrowed" his father's car which he's not allowed to drive.

I mean even if he shifted into neutral the car wouldn't roll front like that, It was definitely in drive. It was just painful to see such a nice car like that get thrashed in the hands of a immature young driver. Thank god there was no one in front of him or else someone could have seriously been injured.

That's the problem with keyless go. You don't have to put it in park when you turn off the car. So it can be confusing.

That video is just some kids screwing around, no one is stupid enough to steal a car while it is being video'd, otherwise they end up on "Americas dumbest Criminals" type TV shows...

When I purchased my C63 there was an older gentlemen there purchasing a CL63. Beautiful car. He signed on the dotted line and said "Ok Son, careful driving home" The kid was 17 years old and it was his first car.

I honestly cant imagine a 18-20 year old kid driving around in a CL63. Those are the the type of kids that treat they're cars like crap because they know if anything goes wrong with it mommy and daddy will take care of it. Makes me laugh every time i think about it. Im not trying to stereotype, but from what ive seen personally this is the case 90% of the time.
Plus a CL63 is more of a business man's type of car. It really wouldn't suite a 17 year old kid.

You are probably right that it was staged, but on the other hand, that is exactly how people do end up on America's Dumbest Criminals, the Darwin Awards, those crazy car chase videos, etc. Cops aren't that smart, but they rely on the proven history of criminals being stupid as hell. And for some bizzare reason when people are doing something really idiotic there are often cameras around. Darwin would be proud.

No doubt it's fast and a great car, but I can honestly say I've never seen anybody less than 60 years old driving a CL. It seems to be the car that older gentlemen buy after they got the Porsche 911 phase out of the way. Same guy that buys a Jaguar XK.

Hmmmm.. In my neck of the woods a CL is a younger kids car. CLS on the older side. I love the CL. The hottest styled MB of them all IMO.

Honestly, i cant imagine this kid in a cl63. It just dosent suite him. Just my .02 cents. I dont even think he knows what the CL63 is all about. Probably just got it because all the other celebs had one and he just wanted to fit in.
Ill give you a good example. I could imagine a guy like jay leno in a CL63, but not ryan sheckler.

A CL63 is based on the same chassis as a S63 so its basically the same car but a coupe version. So either way a S class or a cl is a business man type car. Just my opinion.
