It is about that time again to get the track rentals started. I just booked both lanes at MIR from 9am to 5pm on September 17th (Friday ). You all ready for some racing??? Cost is $100/car as usual and hopefully we get some good weather. It is over amonth away so I'm hoping it cools off quite a bit by then

Just curious why are you renting it on a Friday? Most people have to work on Friday. Why don’t you try to set up something for Sat instead?

I always get this question. Maybe I should have stated this in my intial post, thanks for bringing it up. The answer is that there are events every weekend during race season at MIR. You can not have a private track rental when they have events planned. After race season I do plan on having a weekend rental, but for now weekdays are the only choice. Why do I choose a friday? Because most people don't have to work the next day.

If you guys haven't been to MIR yet, you should.... it's one of the fastest and best prepped tracks in the country. It is almost guaranteed that you will break your personal best at MIR. Not to mention that Ahmed's rentals usually hosts a great group of people and incredibly fast cars.

Somebody please provide live updates for us from the track

We will have our west coast private rental sometime in November for those of you on the west coast, so watch out for the thread near the end of this month

Thanks Mo Likewise for your events. We should have a couple more here on the east coast before the season is out. Nov and Dec at MIR usually has killer DA and the cars go fasttt haha

Slightly off topic.. debating on getting summer tires again.. or all season (cannot do both...) Wonder how well all seasons handle on a track heh..

A member on the board (Clayton) ran his SL600 with all seasons at MIR and cut 1.7 60 foot times! But he is a freak of nature lol

What's the turn out look like?

Quick list of those who have said they are coming or might be coming. Because of the large number of people attending, MIR will be collecting the cash at the gate. Also, future events may be capped depending on how the car flow is at this rental. I don't want people paying $100 and waiting in lines to run. MIR says they have had 100 cars before without any flow problems so I guess we will see. If I have to set a cap for future events I will take prepayments through paypal and be based on a first come first serve basis. Lets hope for some good weather!
