Kuda mount with iPod extension cable

Guys, I know I probably don't need this, but has anyone tried the Kuda mount for iPod/iPhone in the C63? I am thinking about getting their mount for my car plus the new 6 in 1 pass-thru dock. The problem of course will be using the extension cable from the glove box to the mount... Currently I am using an iPhone 3G, 1st gen iPod Touch, but planning on getting the 4G later, and my question is that had the current MY2010 iPod kit fixed the charging issue, or I still need a 12v to 5v adapter like the older ones? Thanks.

You know mercedes does have an ipod cradle that mount in the glove box.

True, but I am just thinking it might be better if you can mount the phone to use the GPS or Google maps, when the Navi can't find what you are looking for.
