I have been sitting on the fence for some time on whether to pruchase the Carbonio airboxes and was having a very hard time justifying the $1900+ price for what really IMHO is a pure cosmetic mod. I know there are claims of 10-15hp gain from them and Renntech, but I simply have not seen any data to support this. Maybe a few HP gain due to better airlfow would be possible, but since I have ROW boxes this seemed good enough to me.

But been a CF "junkie" I have to admit that I love the look of the Carbonio unit. I ran across a company that sells just the engine cover without the boxes. So I pulled the trigger on the cover and am going to have the ROW wrapped in CF by a guy who builds Olypmic time trial bikes here in Prague and an expert in CF . Total damage for the cover (see pic) was $450.00 and the CF wrap will be $100 installed. So in total $550.00 vs the $2K. Will post pics once done.

D.H.: You are going to need to cut a viewing hole on your CF hood and replace with a clear plexiglass piece.

dnt worry, he got two holes on the CF bonnet, just not big enough...

Reg - Pat, you guys know the deal. Once you start you simply can't stop! Just watch...I will get this thing done, turn around and end hating it! Then I will need to buy a new car and start all over again!

$550 all in is cheap! If it all turns out well I'll have to consider this mod as I'm adding various CF pieces also, but I actually like the silver color of the cover and air boxes. You are outta control (that's a compliment)!
