Does anyone know how to shut off the beep?

'14 911S (garage queen) '13 X3 (family hauler)
Does anyone know how to shut off the beep?
When you lock the car it beeps twice and flashes the lights.
And beeps once when unlocked.
I searched in the settings area and found nothing.
I have Keyless Go so I don't know if that is option spefic or not.

Any info much appreciated.

The beeping seems cheap and "girly" (I would've used anohter word) and it is not fitting for this car IMO.

My car doesn't beep? Just locks, indicators flash, fogs/parkers stay on for 20 seconds (or so), then they turn off. Thats it.

"When unlocking or locking the vehicle with the SmartKey an acoustic signal sounds. the acoustic signal is activated at the factory. If you wish to deactivate the feature, or adjust its signal volume, contact an authorized Mercedes-Benz Center."

thanks Mort--I guess when she goes in for the diff service that will be shut off!
I wonder if we can do it by entering a certain "secret" screen or do you need the Star computer to do it.

fyi... the 2009 beeps are louder and more obnoxious compared to the 2010.

not a C63 owner.... but my R171 SLK doesn't beep and I wish it does,
so I know for sure it is locked

I can turn it on/off. Go Setting --> Vehicle --> Acoustic Lock Feedback.
and turn it disabled. Then it turn the beep off. By the way my car is 2011 but should be the same for all year C63 i guess. Hope it can help.

The dealer can shut it off, lower, or raise the volume of the beep. I had mine turned down, so its very subtle.

thats a US thing. Euro-cars normally have the beep off from factory.

Depends on the country. Germany: off, Netherlands: on for example.

Has to do with local rules about alarm certification for the insurance. At least over here...

FYI - that menu only exists for 2011 models as they switched from the pleasant alarm-siren pulse to using the horn for acoustic feedback. Older models need to be coded using Star.

I like the beep. Let's me know it's locked as I'm walking away. I just wish you could adjust the on/off from the COMAND screen like you can from BMW's iDrive.

my car doesn't beep . you only hear the locks themselves
