I'm going to see if I can go to the one later this month.
I wonder what speed class they start you off in when you have a C63? I hope it's not too low. At least 120-130?

Because it's the one later this month, it's the standing mile. Standing miles before in C63s have gotten from 160-180 and what safety gear you have limits you to how fast you are allowed to go. I think with these events a helmet is minimum.

I did read the rules mention that speed is limited by how safe your car is. I agree the helmet seems a minimum. Maybe they look at things like airbags as well.
I wonder if they would allow a first timer to get out there and run top speed in the mile?

I did the Silver State Classic Challenge back in the mid 90s. Did it in a Porsche 928S. 177 MPH top speed and an average of 143 MPH for 92 miles... It was a ton of fun....
