Right now it's between:

PanaVise 809

Delkin Fat Gecko DDMOUNT-MINI
http://www.delkin.com/shop/product.p...cat=126&page=1

Delkin Fat Gecko has an Extension Kit DDMOUNT-AC that adds 1" or 4"
http://www.delkin.com/shop/product.php?productid=685

Not sure what to be looking for in a mount like this. Not having used one, it's hard to tell what would be useful and what wouldn't from the photos. Both receive overall good reviews.

Pricing is reasonable. These mounts are for smaller cameras, there are also mounts of larger cameras, like this "extreme mount for extreme conditions." http://www.delkin.com/shop/product.p...&cat=24&page=1

Do acceleration/cornering/braking gs count as "extreme conditions."?

Delkin DDMOUNT-MINI w/ extension is great -> http://www.amazon.com/Delkin-Devices.../dp/B002K8Q0EU

I first bought the 809 and then returned it for the Delkin.

Photos of it in my car here -> https://mbworld.org/forums/4016358-post23.html
