"A" Service Cost Me $2,444.97

Well, to be fair, I brought my car in for the "A" service but then couldn't resist a Kleeman K1 and K&N air filters while I had it in. Much better throttle response. Well worth the money.

Greenway ramps are my favorite spots, but they are only 1/4 to 1/2 mile long. Around here, that's about it. Too much fuzz. It's like driving on a big peach. Lots of LoCoPoPo!

And the penalty for excessive speed in VA is a monster...

FunKtion Auto Group in Sterling/Dulles. Referred to me by my friend who takes his GT3-RS there. My first time there. Very happy with the experience. Knowledgeable guys who work on anything but do mostly AMG, Audi, Porsche, and BMW.

Yeah, I know. Toll Road/Greenway, ramps, and stretches of 28 and 50 is about it for me. In a way I just did it because I could and it was there. Even harder to justify modding the GT500 to almost 600 hp at the wheels, but what the hell.

Kleemann with S&H is 1600, K&N 100. So basically Service A (oil change) was 740....wow. There should be no labor in an ECU swap it takes 2.5mins to pull out of the car and put back in.

even if 2.5 minutes = 1 hour of labor time that's one heck of an expensive A service.

Agreed that I could have had it done much more cheaply. For me, it was convenient and done by people I trust. Total for "A" service (including labor but not including tax) was $272.90. Air filters (parts and labor) were $318.50.

You did the right thing! Yes you could have saved a little more money but F it! The tune on the C63 is an absolute MUST. Anyone who drives one and does get the tune doesnt know what this baby can really do! Carful out there with your new found power, she can really get up there quick now. 70-130 in mere seconds and she doesnt stop pulling!

Get your *** to a Dyno and post some numbers!

LoCoPoPo ... good one .. that's funny.

They are brutal around here ... even seen them lurking behind trees with portable radar guns ... not fair.

service A for $272 seems about what I paid at the dealer down the street from work (HBL in Tysons). Like you said, it's mucho convenient, so I take the hit and have them service my car. The time saved is worth more than the money lost.

$318 for filters seems ridiculous. How many filters did you get? 72? (Ritchie Cunningham joke)

Filters I can do at night, at home, in my garage after my kids have had their dad-time and have gone to bed. No dealer-installed filters for me.
