Look at the Mph that's the important part in that comp!!

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
You can't look at the ETs alone ignoring all the other data. I edited my post (where you copied this from without citing me as the author) to include a MPH-sort. MPH is a much better indicator of Horsepower.
Anyhow, B.E.R.U.A.N.G's car was neck in neck with the P31 stock car all day long. They actually tied ET and MPH (low 114's) twice when they ran heads-up. I've got all 150+ runs from today in front of me. It wasn't until I layed down about 2/3 of my Nitto tread on a well prepped lane when he made an incredible pass as he finally got some traction on those street tires.

Said well amuture talk. When a (tuned car) pulls the same mph as a stock car it's not that impressive?
The OE tune is putting down some major numbers. Jeremy is the man. Get yourself to TTM on the 12th and find out for yourself! Before and after are two different cars. (See my Dyno thread)
As to the price, MHP is significantly higher. I honestly dont see how MHP could be making more power tune for tune than the OE. If they have id like to see the dyno to prove it. So in my mind the OE is the way to go!
Im shooting for Maryland in Oct so I hope there is a tune only MHP there for me to run.

I just dont get it, all the extra hp that is claimed from the tunes yet so little difference on the track. My stock c63 pulled a 12.43 quarter mile so i would expect that with up to an extra 60 to 70hp from a tune a quarter mile time of a tuned would be significantly less than stock, whats going on, is it just dyno trickery?
I also agree with the costs of these tunes being way too expensive. In Perth it will cost me $3000 for a power chip tune or $4000 for a MHP tune, this is obscene considering it is just a software modification and there is no raw material added as there would be with say an exhaust system upgrade.
Can someone convince me it is worth the expense as i am yet to see the raw data on quarter mile times before i pull my wallet out.

Look at trap speed as the true measure of power and performance. It is interesting tha a tune alone car (in this case Eurocharged) has a trap speed w/ in 3.7 mph of cars with headers, pulleys, etc.

1 tuner has 4 tune and drag radial C63s running in the 11s I don't know of anyone else that has put a single car into the same 11s.
If you are complaining about the price of a $2500 tune, you should check out MKB $6500 and Vath $10,500 or Brabus ($???).
Just because its software doesnt mean its all the same and I agree dynos mean nothing compared to track data. Its not the dynos fault its just that shops have abused that measuring stick by playing with results way too much.
So...yeah please dont forget that in the equation

Regarding ECU Tune, I am using Uerocharged, which is the cheapest...since I dont really track my car that often...+50 RWHP is more than enough for me. (I havent dyno it, but that's other got from Eurocharged tune.)
It's also interesting that the stock P31 car is within 0.19 MPH of the Eurocharged-tuned car.
If I was a P31 owner, I probably wouldn't bother to do "tune-only" from any vendor... it appears likely that AMG's in-house "tune" takes most of (if not all of) the easy software-related HP off the table.
I bet the guys with tune and headers probably had to pedal it out of the gate but the tune only car which ran after super laid down some rubber probably was in it the whole time. I wouldnt go race a header & tune car without DRs.

Call my mechanic James at BPS chiptek. With tune and exhaust ive gained 8mph over stock 112 to 121mph.
I think we can see from all the data track conditions and tyre choice play a major role in ets and mph.

My OE-tuning got it for fraction of that price. Oh yeah it pulls like a ****! WHOA!
