Pics and Vids from AMG Academy
Guys, will be posting misc pics and videos from the AMG Advanced Traning course over the next few days. AMG really puts on a great event. SLS and C63 are far the most popular cars. If anyone wants a AMG racing balaclava for those who track/drag/race, let me know and I will pick some up as they give them out.

soft material mask (probably better word) that fits under your helmet to keep it dry. Pics attached

AMG events are well organized, and I'm sure you had a great time! Nice that AMG uses Recaros in the C63 for better lateral support. How did you like the SLS on the track? .....BTW, it's called a balaclava. I think the other word is for a turkish pastry

I searched for those seats all around the world. No succes and AMG didnt even replied to my mails.

With the right connections you can get those seats. The same seats are used in the CLK F1 Safety Car and the rest of world CLK63 BS. Mercedes or AMG won't be of any help, because the seats do not comply with US regulations and would be considered a liability for them.

The SLS was simply amazing! Pure power and so well balanced you simply cannot believe you will make it through the turns at speed and yet it pulls through everytime!

To all...sorry about the balaclava thing...I was starving when I posted so of course the Turkish/Greek treat was on my mind

Guys, on the seats I am working the AMG product manager on some things I want. He has agreed to get me (price unknown yet) the DTM front bumper. According to him the cars are rotated out of the school every 4-5 months and stripped down and rebuilt. I will ask if they would be willing to sell seats. Have to be honest here about them - Bernd Schneider took me out this morning on solo 3 lap flyer with these seats in the instructor SLS (matte finish) and they are as hard as rock. They hold you for sure, but as use for DD forget it. I swear I had bruises on my thighs from the pure G-force applied when he blew through some of the corners. I will ask though and let you know.

I would be very interested in just one of the track seats if they were available. I love the stock seats for daily driving but even with a CG lock there is still too much instability for the track. Thanks again for looking out for the rest of us and sharing the experience.

looks like great fun.thanks for the pics harrower.hey hhughes1,i see u track ur car alot.i heard about the c63 trans overheating and going into limp mode after several hot laps.have you done any upgrades in this department? sorry guys,didnt mean to go off-topic.just really curious about this issue.it seems to me that it could get really ugly on the track with someone hot on ur *** mid corner and ur car decides to shut down.what are your thoughts on this issue? thanks

Guys, event is over. I have lots of the balaclavas so I can send to all who have requested. Attached are some photos and I will upload videos later today. They will be sending USB stick in car telemetry/video and will also upload when it arrives. Great event!
