How much do the bolster adjust?
I remember when i test drove a c63 i hardly fit in the seat, i'm a big guy 6'3 260lbs, wear a size 50 jacket. But i hadn't adjusted the seats then, i hoped in a c63 at the dealer, battery was dead so the little 3 buttons on the side of the seat didn't work. I'm wondering what they do, and how much adjustment there is, because as i stand, i will destroy those seats in a years time.

My wife is 6'1 and a runner (she is well built). The seats are extremely uncomfortable for her. Not a problem for me really, since its my car and I am the only driver (she hates it for other reasons as well and wont drive it). Not trying to put you off (or call my wife large in any way.. heh). Just posting another opinion on the seats. I'm skinny at 6', so its not an issue for me (around 180 pounds)

I'm 5' 11" and weigh 220 lbs, and the seats are fine for me, but the seats are tight by design. Sometimes, I find it hard to find a comfortable seating position. But once you get the seats adjusted to your shape, their great. Unfortunately for me, my girlfriend also drives the car, and goof up the seat memory, so back to the drawing board for me, of finding the comfy zone. They weren't design for big people period, but you can let the air out in the bolster and lumber and the seat cushion. It's really up to your body dimensions, of rather you will fit comfortably or not. I know that, I can't sit in the car with my cell on my hip, or my wallet in my back pocket. I would just snap the phone off due to the high side bolsters, and the wallet in a pain in the a** if you know what I mean. Not a comfortable ride sitting on your wallet. But in my E63 it's not a problem, due to the seat design.

thanks guys, but i'm more curious of the actual use of the 3 buttons on the seat, do they deflate/inflate the side bolsters? as maybe the cars i sat and drove didn't have them at their "widest" settings?

I am a relatively medium size person and I don't think they adjust too much. Estimating a couple of inches on each size maybe but maybe that is exaggerating it.

I'd say they adjust about half an inch to 3/4 in on each side, it isn't that much. Still these seats are quite something. I have never had any back pain driving, it's quite exceptionnal.
If you feel tight, the headrest button on the door makes a huge difference, it really changes how the entire seat forms around you. It doesn't have anything to do with the head rest itself he he
