New Top Speed
Near Stuttgart, Germany. Amazing piece of three lane Autobahn. Middle of a cloudy day. Had a clear stretch of road for three or so flat out, pedal the floor, sessions. C 63 made it up to 274kph (170mph) gps verified and the second time 287 (178 mph), on the digital dash. PP raised limiter and stock.
At those speeds, I, or actually my fearless copilot, was surprised to see only about 5 to 7 + or - deviation. I felt the bump into the governor at around 270kph (167mph), but she continued pulling through afterward. Had there been less traffic, she could have pulled higher, no doubt. She wasn't yet done by any means. This little AMG is no joke. She will rape and destroy. 300kph (186mph) is definately on the table. Surprisingly, she was remarkably stable up there. Would never have guessed that what with the relatively short wheel base and all.
It's hard to describe the sensations that pulsate through your system when you fly past cars travelling 170 kph (105mph) by more than 100 kph (62mph).
It's magical, and it's highly addictive. It's also gambling with an instant check-out from hotel life and an express check-in to that big pie in the sky, but you only live once, right?

Rolling on the autobahn is great isnt it, I used take my AA Tuned M3 out and get into the 170-175 MPH speeds all the time. I was happy with that until a guy with a tuned 335I pulled on me at those speeds, thats when I knew I either needed to supercharge the M3 or move into car with more horspower and torque. Thats why I went with an AMG!

Man the penalty for failure is a very bad ending, but honestly, I couldnt imagine an Autobahn in the US... I would be terrified... there are a lot of absolute retarded people in the US that own vehicles.
As for Germany Autobahn, the two times in my life I got to experience it... it was freaking PACKED
like 80mph gridlock

MBWorld Fanatic!
Using the Autobahn daily makes you get used to it.
All the time you see guys on business trips in Audis A6 3.0tdi or MBs E350cdi or BMWs 530d driving 250km/h nonstop.
I hit 297 with my car. Bone stock and with a "backpack"

307 km/h on the digital speedo on the Poznan highway in Poland.
Made the mistake of allowing up shift to 7th. I understand from other posts that the top end is better achieved in 6th.
