I changed my mind at the last minute because I'm also getting
Dad's CF trunk w/integrated spoiler and I think it will flow much
better painted this way.

These look great. Can I get an update on a few things...

How much CF without paint?
How much is the freight?
How much savings in weight?
What was the total turnaround on this from the time of order?

Now I have to black out all the chrome trim and emblems.

I'm thinking about gloss black.

I have my trims wrapped in gloss black vinyl and it looks perfect.
My emblems were painted.

Thanks
When I now look at the first pics of my car (when it was stock) I can't understand how could the trims ever be chrome - it looked so bad...

Mercedes went a little chrome happy.

Did you remove your trim to install the vinyl?

Propain,
Let me answer a few of your questions.
Hood in carbon fiber is $1590.
The only freight you pay is from Flroida to NY which would be less than $100.
The hood saves approximately 35# right off the nose.
They are in production now and can ship from China in about 3-4 weeks. All the other orders have to be filled first and they can only produce about two to three a week.

Please let me know as soon as you can so I can have them produce more than the original order. Thank you for your interest!

Keith

No. The guys at the shop said they would first try to apply the vinyl without removing the trims.
It worked out perfectly - after 1 year no pulled edges, scratches or chips.
When they did my grill, they took it completely apart.

Thanks.

I was going to try this myself but I think I will leave it to someone
with a little more experience.

Now I have to find a shop in NJ who can do this.

Hood is installed!

I installed the hood this morning.

Many thanks to Keith for providing this wonderful piece and for
putting me in contact with Dave from Sanford Paint & Body.
As you can see the quality is superb and the fitment is perfect.

I had two friends help me, it took about an hour and 15 minutes
but I took my time and made sure everything was aligned properly.

I didn't mess with the upper part of the 2 piece grille yet because
I'm wrapping the chrome in CF. The chrome has to go now.

Some iphone pics

Upper Vents painted Black

Now where is my trunk Keith!

Thanks.

Yes, Dave adds clear after painting.

Not sure about Revozport's work.

Is it just me or does almost everybody post pics of the hood with it not properly closed. i have yet to see mine so have no idea ofquality fitment etc.

Petro, is your hood completely shut or not? The gaps in the middle picture on hoods edge seem particularly large

I didn't think so Mav, but I looked at Faresues car and saw the side fender gap get bigger as you moved down from A pillar to light, slight but there.

My hood is shut in all those pictures. There is a slight gap(more than stock)
but that middle picture seems to make it look more pronounced than it
actually is. I still have to make a few slight adjustments to the fit, it is
slightly off which may contribute to how it looks.

This hood looks really great in person. The quality is top notch, very nicely crafted.
