By my calculations, it seems like a no brainer to go with new, unless of course there is some underlying reason that you are specifically after an 09. I looked at 2009 and even 2008 models before deciding to go ahead an order a 2010. The savings just aren't really worth it, IMO. In fact, I think if you do the math, (at roughly $1200 per month for 2 years remaining on the lease, and then a $30-$38K buy out) it's just not a very good deal at all.
Also, it appears that by your YYZ screen name that you are in Toronto. Not sure how it works in Ontario now with the HST, but here in BC, HST is charged even on used vehicles, I believe, which completely negates any cost benefit on these particular cars. Better to go with new and get exactly what you want, and have the full warranty as well.
