Proper burn-out procedure

Proper burn-out procedure
Hi, I was wondering how I can do the burn-out properly without damaging the transmission. Do I hold the brake half way and start adding gas until the tires start to smoke? Should I worry about ruining the trans?
THanks!

Oh my ****ing god.
One more of this thread and I am going to shoot my self.
Hold down traction control button to turn it off
Well to help you out...
Put the car in REVERSE
with the left foot on the brakes and right foot feeding it gas.
Slowly let go of brakes your tire will start spinning.
then RIGHT AWAY THROW THE CAR IN DRIVE
THEN WITH LEFT FOOT STILL ON BRAKE AND LET GO A BIT MORE BUT FLOOOR THE GAS IN DRIVE
PERFECT BURNOUT!
Gets the chicks everytime!

1. turn traction off
2. left on brakes
3. put car in drive (i like to keep it in M mode)
4. while holding down brake with left foot, MASH the gas pedal with right foot.
5. Enjoy the smoke.

Left foot on brakes, right foot on gas. Punch the gas, let go of the brake a little bit til the car inches forwards, then put a little more pressure on the brakes. The front brakes will naturally pinch before the backs.

And sometimes I see the car leaking fluid. That usually stops when all the fluid is drained so don't worry about it.
There. You should be on your way now. Don't forget videos.
Love you

Correct. Burnouts on street tires is virtually pointless. But, if you're at the track and running street tires, do everyone a favor and go AROUND the water box and at least give your tires a good scrubbing before approaching the launch pad. That will help get rid of debris that you picked up in the staging lanes.

I am not trying to be mean here but...if you have to ask, you should be driving a Hyundai, not a Mercedes.
Even when I started driving years ago our little 16 year old girlfriends knew how to do burnouts all on their own. And there was no such thing as stability control back then and they knew how to drift better than the pansies who turn it off and crash today...
Instead if wasting time playing computer games, get out in the real world after midnight on rainy or snowy mall parking lots and learn how to drive... and try reading a book on how cars work..
Good luck
