2012 C63 AMG Coupe PP

Hey guys i just sadly sold my 2010 c63 AMG due to the fact that im a realestate agent and i need a bit more space in the backseat. Ive shopped around in my area for another mercedes and the best deal ive been able to find has been a 2007 E63 AMG. Now my question to you guys is can this e63 compare to the c63 in performance and technology. I know they have the same engine and tranny but do they drive somewhat similar and wich one is faster. Im also wondering if the exhaust note is somewhat comparable to the great sound the c63 makes. Please let me know what you think. all the info i can get will be great. thx

Maybe, I can shed some light on this subject, since I own both of these cars. Comparably speaking they are on par with each other as far as accelleration goes. Course the E63 has 56 more horses, and 22 ft lbs more torque. But the C63 is lighter. But it just feels to me, that the C63 is faster, but I don't have any data to back up this claim. The exhaust note is deeper in the C63, no doubt. The E63, exhaust is subdued at best. But if your push her she will bark loudly. The C63 has a better multi-media package then the E63, traffic alerts, compass, bluetooth streaming, etc. As the E63 has old technology. The C63 suspension is stiffer then the E63. The E63 tends to float due to the airmatic suspension (air bags), now you can change the suspension characteristics by a push of a button, but regardless not as stiff. The E63 is a nicer car then the C63, I love the alcantara headliner, that the C63 lacks. Your getting a better car period with the E63 hands down. Not as sporty looking, more of a sleeper, but she has legs, and will haul a** when pushed, trust me. The seats are more forgiving in the E63, not as tight but not bad. I think that you'll like it. I would find end and take it for a spin, then tell us your impressions of it.

I absolutely love my E63, I do wish it had the throatty exhaust of the C63, with throttle blipping. Then it would be perfect. Other then that, no complaint here.
