M3
I searched and really couldn't find anything on the m3 in this forum.
I think this is our cars biggest competition, and just wanted to see what you guys think of the m3, and why you went with the c63 over the m3. I drove both before buying, and liked the c63 more, but i must admit it is a very good car...

1) HP over M3
2) beats M3 stop light to stop lights
3) C63 has 3 to 4 options in total, whereas M3's options is more. More = $$$
4) MRSP on C63 is tasteful
5) Exhaust note on C63 is nicer than M3
6) Service in MB dealership actually treats you like a king than BMW dealership

Was on the road the other day and saw a M3 driver weeving through traffic like he's a F1 driver. I caught up to him and he basically slow down. I really wanted to race with him, shame.
Took out my ML 63 later that night and saw a X5M and he didn't want to race me either. WTF...

If you are looking for a track car the M3 is your selection. Straight line performance the C63.
The C63 with a tune kills an M3 even if it has exhaust work done.
Its really just personal preference. I can see the appeal in both cars. Little less douche stigma in the C63 though.

Jon syndrome. They know you will win so they don't wanna race.

The new M3 is a huge fail in my book and it seems to get worse every year. The older ones are lightweight and fun and they just "worked" - they should have stuck with that formula. Not to say that the C63 is a lightweight, but at least it has some torque. I need to rev the **** out of the M3 to get some wiggle in my khakis.
Now the CTS-V on the other hand, there's your real C63 competition.

2010 C63
overall the c63 is a much better ride i can't agree more. The sound, the power, the fact that its an AMG, however when it comes to performance on the track i feel that m3 has much bigger fan base. Just saying...
and clk550 for m3 lol good one
however i can't wait to see whats in store for 2010 for both models. will the 63 be bi turbo or naturally aspirated?

No comment on the M3 Vs C63 thread?

because I didn't want to get raped by someone driving a C63--plus I don't grease my hair and dye my skin orange(see this thread if you don't get my comments:https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ne.html):zoom:

Honestly, with this whole Turbo deal, I wouldn't mind seeing a highly detuned (as in not making 550 hp with a ECU tune) 5.5 Liter in the C63.

actually, someone posted not too long ago the rematch of the m3 and a c63 w/p30 or p31,i don't recall witch one, on the track, and the m3 lost.i test drove the m3.beautiful car,but the lack of torque and having to rev the **** out if it to get my panties wet was not cutting it.i love the big 6.2,and the sound it makes is intoxicating.
+1
Torque is fun. Nothing really happens with the M3 engine until above 4500 RPM. Plus they are a little to common in LA, C63's are far fewer.

I've owned both.
The C63's torque (and sounds) is terrific however the M3 is the better "Drivers car", its more dynamic and more rewarding when pushed hard.
If your interested in 0 - 60 then go the C63, if your after a more engaging driving experience go the M3.
On a side point, jsut do a search, its across this forum and M3 Post (each is bias due to owners generally choosing their car over the other).

Very interesting thread,
I am a bimmer person since I was a kid. Ironically, I bought a C63 for the sound and the torque. I think the M3 is a better driver's car and you get more feedback on the steering. Also most important, the DCT. While we still have an automatic gearbox. Oh well, It's my first AMG and I like it.

Both are great cars. You can't go wrong with either. The only reason I like my M more is because I like the sporty look of coupe's more and manual ftw.
