Well there we go again. Price out of control. GT pro's X pipe is cheaper and is the exact same product...
I was hoping to promote forum sponsors but it appears I will probably buy the down pipes and X pipe from GTpro...

The prices are around the same, GT PRO's is around $650 isnt it?
I also noticed there is only a single weld down the middle where the MBH X pipe meets. Also on the GTPRO x pipe that the welds are a cross, down the middle and around the diameter of where the X pipe meets. Just minor differences here and there.
MBH's looks alot cleaner, then GT Pro's imo

Oooo, we're so close. If that piece was a little longer and deleted the primary cat as well, I'd be all over it at that same $695 + free ship price point.

That said, very nice work MBH. It looks like a great, high-quality piece.

GTPro fits together as well as a 1950s airfix model kit....with a little filing, welding, putty, creativity anything can fit

LOL, True. I have heard of they're pipes not fitting in right. Thats the main reason why I went with the MBH becuase no one has had problems with them.

Please share with me the members that state that GT-pros parts do not fit. I have no allegiance to GT-pro, feel free to check my posts where I am obviously critical about his products but I do not feel it is fair to state that his parts do not fit.
Just because he is not a forum sponsor does not mean we should throw him under the bus.
I only have seen one member state that his did not fit properly but all others stated the fit and finish was right on.
Last time I checked $650 and $695 is not the same price, that is close to 10% and GTpro offers a discount if you buy both his Xpipe and his downpipes.

lets not tarnish MBHs thread anymore than we have...btw 650 and 695 are the same price...let's get real 45 bucks. We are talking about quality, performance, AND fitment. I think it's worth it.

As for the pricing of competitors- if you dont like the price here buy the other one or pick up the phone and ask the sponsor in this thread to reduce his price.

Sponsors fuel this site- we dont make it an obligation for any of you to buy their products. Let them set the price point and see if it sells or not.

Ghazan: just because it is small dollars does not mean that it is less relevant. I should hope you would agree that a 55K C63 is different than 50K C63...
MBH makes outstanding product and I agree we should not reduce this thread to a comparison with a non forum sponsor but I just refused to be gouged.

I hear your gripe, We offer a non xpipe version of this for $100 less. If you look inside the stock C63 resonator there is a crossover hole meant to help mixing. Some theorist say thats all you need. Fact is xpipes made by hand are not the easiest thing to make. factor that in with materials, skilled labor, fixturing, finishing, shop expenses. It adds up. We are doing the best we can to offer a wide range of performance products, while trying to makes something that hopefully fits into a wider range of peoples budgets.

For the next week, I'm offering free shipping to the lower 48 states for MBW members that order from me directly. If you factor that in. It seems right on par with what ever else is out there.

There is a whole behind the scenes thing that takes place. No one, but me and my team gets to see that. If you did... you would know I'm trying to go to bat for everyone. However I understand I can't win them all.

You said it!! Its not easy covering your overhead while making it affordable to the public while making a profit at the same time. But given the price of the X pipe I think its a very fair price.
Keep up the great work MBH!!

X pipe

Based on the attached OEM schematics, secondary cats is #4 and it would require a cut as one side is attached to the primary cat.
MBH: please let us know.

That is what I thought (going on my poor memory). But then I see his secondary cats with a slip-joint where it should've connected to a primart cat.

Yes you have to make 1 cut. Then the drivers side part of the pipe slips over.

X pipe is the way to go, I think you'll actually gain some power to guessing maybe 10hp.

Some vendors claim the X-pipe is better and provides some back pressure for more hp.
