Anyone know if I would be able to start the car and LOCK the doors but remove the key out of the fob (so i can still get into the car from the outside once the car is locked and running)*? I realize I can take 5 minutes out of my day to try this, but was wondering if anyone else did it? I'm currently not home and do not have my spare handy, don't want to get stranded in the parking lot.

*I've literally never used that key other than to lock my glovebox, can you even open the door with that key?
