2014 E550 4Matic with P1/LED/Pano
I bought a set of OEM C63 wheels so I could run 275's in the rear. Even then, I get the traction control kicking in due to all the sand and salt on the road.

Nice, I've got the same thing, just silver version and V rated instead of W and no TPMS (tirerack didn't have the W or TPMS when I ordered).

Have you played with the tire pressures for the best cornering on dry pavement? What pressure's are you running?

The dealer put in 40 psi to account for the change in temperature and the tires seem to be pretty crisp and the grip is good for winter tires. Probably the P30 suspension, W rating and the low profile are also factors.

Sidd, I am also located in Fairfax. Perhaps we will pass each other one of these days. As posted previously, I am running Dunlop Winter Sport 3Ds on stock rims. I have seen one other 63 in Fairfax city, I believe it was white.

I've seen the white one as well (although he didn't see me as I was behind by a couple of cars), and talked to a guy with an Irridium silver one in Tysons. Looks like I'll get a chance to play in the snow today. Hey, did you notice a difference in performance after around 50 miles on them? or have they pretty much been the same since you installed ...

Traction wise, I can still run WOT from a 5-10 mph start (smoothly dropping the hammer) but the rear of the car wags back and forth a little, and when 2nd gear hits there's no push like there is with the Pzeros ... meaning the tires are at there limit and can't handle the increased torque of the gear shift. However, traction control didn't kick in while in sport mode so all in all, not bad for a dedicated snow tire. Cornering is flat and stable until about 80-90 percent of what the Pzero's would do, then they roll some which produces lift and a tendancy to oversteer. Controllable and easy to feel though. All in all, can still drive the car aggressively just not at extremes. 40psi seems to be the sweet spot, less and they roll a lot, more and they tend to skate. Will continue to play with the psi, probably increase the rear a little, maybe 40.5 front, 42 rear, see if that reduces the wag under WOT. It's a sickness I know
