I have the same lights. the kit comes with instructions on how to install and all the hardware required. When I first installed mine the DRL'S weren't dimming down with headlights on as I wired up to the wrong wire. The Mercedes dealer gave me a wiring diagram as every car has slightly different colored wires. All good now

i'm reading the guide, and i read that a wire have to be connected to a parking light wire.
in france we don't have parking lights.
but perhaps all connectors are the same, but according to the country connectors are wired or not...

I think I connected mine to the Headlight or eyebrow light (that's the light above the headlight)

The wiring colors on the installation guide is not correct. I'll post them tonight for you.

That's right. All Mercedes have different color wiring depending on year built, this is why I got a wiring diagram for my car from dealer. If you give them the VIN they can access it easily in Service department

I just ordered these lights and will be installing them soon. So do the original fog lights stop working after you install these LEDs? In other words, does the Fog light switch operate only the LED now instead of the original fog lights?

Also, in Canada here, the roads in the spring a full of small rocks, dirt and crap. Are any of you concerned about cracking the LED lights? My friend already broke 2 fog lights from rocks, and they cost him $400 each. What's your thoughts on protecting these LEDs with clear film, like lamin-x. Do you think I should be concerned about heat issues and/or reduced illumination? I had the lamin-x placed on the headlights of my previously owned 335i with no heat issues. And I think LED emit less heat anyways?

Thanks in advance.

Ps. Piecha quoted me approx 150 euros to replace cracked LEDs. Not cheap after you take into account shipping and tax.

The original fog lights work as normal. The LED's are on all the time once ignition is turned on. They are on 100% (full brightness) when eye brow and/or fog lights are on but they dim down to 20% with headlights on. I can't see any issues if you put some clear film over them as they don't get hot.

The fog lights has nothing to do with the LED or the switch. It will still work. The LEDs turns on 100% when you turn on the key to accessory and when your headlights are on, it dims down. The surface of the LED is small and the plastic is thick so I won't worry about rock chips. PM your email and I can email you the installation instructions.

Thanks, but I already had Piecha email me the guide to see if I can do this myself. I decided to get a proshop here to do it. I could probably tackle it myself but would rather not.

Thanks again.

hello,

i'm very interrested in adding leds to the bumper, but on the picture the colour seems to be very different from the head light... so it's not very prety.

could someone put other pictures or tell me if it's similar in colour or not ?
thank you

I dont think the lights look "very" different. I guess I'll find out in a month after I get mine installed. I'll post pics up. Also, I guess I'll have to be happy with it since I'm cutting the bumper and these lights aren't cheap. At the end of the day, I can't see it looking worse than without it. It's such a sexy car, people will keep drooling everytime they look at it.

Also, I think Piecha does a pretty good job in knowing what benz owners want and I think if the lights looked cheesy, someone would've posted that by now and Piecha would have had to change the light colour.

As I said, I'll find out in a month. I know there are a few other guys here that have done it already. Perhaps they can tell you. Good luck.

I'm not hatin' here, in fact I think the car looks quite sharp, a tad busy but sharp. I'm seeing an ugly trend with people adding LEDs everywhere and anywhere for the sake of adding them. Even out of factory they're going nuts with LEDs. More LEDs is not always a good thing!

Anyway, car looks good. :P

you are right.
but leds are a renew of a car... a taste of "new".

i think leds have to be as OEM as possible or it will be too tuning.

Are you able to turn the eyebrow lights on without the fog lights? I cant seem to be able to do that? Perhaps Canadian models are different? Or maybe I'm missing somthing?

I just finished getting these LEDs installed. They look awesome. I also had the shop paint the Brabus lines on the tail lights and they look absolutely amazing. I think it's the best attempt so far in mimicking the brabus look. I'm very pleased. It looked sick. I will post pics soon.

ps. If anyone is thinking of installing these LEDs on a Canadian car, good luck. Canadian cars have to have DRLs on all the time (it's the law), which means the LEDs will always be on 20% output mode. So I had the shop install a toggle switch in neatly tucked away and hidden under the steering column. And I can manually change it to 100% brightness or 20% output on demand regardless of the time of day. Just thought I'd mention that for any DIYers.

You can also tap it into your fog lights or parking lights, so when your fog lights or parking lights are off, 100% brightness and 20% when on.
