C63 507 AMG DA Car #19
What does it net in the 1/4 mile time/et?
5hp is hard to detect at the track and can be absorbed by track conditions/air quality etc.....
Anyone do a back-to-back at the track stock w/filters, stock no filters / RT?
Very pretty exotic part.

2013 Chevy 427 Torch Red
Timing could not be worse for me considering I have already spent my 2011 mod budget before Dec 2010 is even over. I do believe that this intake does indeed make power and the price will probably never be better. To support my claim I would offer the following:
Petro's before and after comparisons done at the same track same conditions. I believe a link is already posted.
The Rennteck car is just plain faster than it should be for the mods involved. Their car has a mid 11 pass and has hit 125+. This is in Florida weather and without true long tube headers.
This type of upgrade would not really show its true potential on a dyno or even at the track on a warm or hot day. But on a crisp cold day traveling at 100+ down the track then the real impact begins. Unless you have a setup like the dyno below the typical dinky fan dyno will not reflect anything.

For what its worth here is a shot of the Rennteck car with its additional intake mods on the front of the motor. The heat shield wraps dont look great but may be effective.

Good Evening,
Ever since "PetroC63" proved that there was a nice gain from the Renntech carbon fiber intake I have been discussing a group buy with Hartmut at Renntech. He has agreed to a nice savings if you all are interested. Petro's post: https://mbworld.org/forums/4329481-post64.html
Here's the deal:
If we can get 10 people to pony up and purchase their carbon fiber intake they will offer them for $1996. I believe this is the lowest price for their newest design you'll find anytime, anywhere. All we need to do is get 10 people and they will take the order and ship them.

They have 10 pieces that are in the works as we speak that we can have for that price. Its a very nice piece and has shown a power gain on the track. They are also completing the front portion of their intake to match that was debuted at Festivals of Speed a few months ago.

Glad you were finally able to work something out with RENNtech
for this outstanding piece.
![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
For all those on the fence, this is the cheapest you will probably
ever see this intake, unless you buy one used.
Having owned both the Carbonio and RENNtech, in my opinion the
RENNtech is much better made and it replaces the restrictive Y
fitting that bolts to the intake.

Track Data proving the RENNtech Air Box is the real deal!
Here are all my track times from Island Dragway over the past
couple of weeks. DA as per listed on Dragtimes.com
https://mbworld.org/forums/4329481-post64.html
Island Dragway - October 15th 2010 - Carbonio Intake
Run 1: 12.246 @ 115.13 (DA: 909)
Run 2: 12.287 @ 115.11 (DA: 909)
Run 3: 12.144 @ 115.51 (DA: 764)
Run 4: 12.004 @ 116.25 (DA: 764)
Run 5: 12.449 @ 115.88 (DA: 768) Manual Mode
Run 6: 12.112 @ 116.10 (DA: 768)
Run 7: 12.044 @ 116.73 (DA: 756)
Run 8: 12.142 @ 116.33 (DA: 756)
Run 9: 12.128 @ 116.00 (DA: 756) Manual Mode
Island Dragway - October 22nd 2010 - Carbonio Intake
Run 1: 12.005 @ 116.58 (DA: -409)
Run 2: 12.054 @ 116.32 (DA: -628)
Run 3: 12.484 @ 114.39 (DA: -975) Manual Mode
Run 4: 12.012 @ 116.43 (DA: -1051)
Run 5: 11.947 @ 116.61 (DA: -1127)
Island Dragway - October 29th 2010 - RENNtech Air Box**
Run 1: 12.151 @ 116.29 (DA: -37)
Run 2: 11.972 @ 117.39 (DA: -123)
Run 3: 11.850 @ 118.37 (DA: -194)
Run 4: 11.933 @ 117.89 (DA: -194)
**The RENNtech air box replaced the Carbonio on all runs that took
place on October 29th. The first run was attributed to the ECU adjusting
to the increase in airflow. As you can see all the following runs were sub
12 second runs and the increase in trap speed is a clear indication that
the RENNtech air box is making a substantial amount of power over the
Carbonio.

Which in turn means that the R-tech box makes more power than the "ROW" which are "somewhat" similar to the Carbonios.

I've been preaching about this for a long time now.... the RENNtech airboxes DO MAKE power. And although it is hard to see on the dyno, it is easy to see on the track. In fact, I have not yet seen a RENNtech airbox (whether for the NA 55, 55 Kompressor, or 63) not make any power.
Now lets jump on this...

it was about 10 to 15 degrees warmer than the previous
week.
15 to 20HP?

Come on guys this is a no brainer, more air in more air out more hp, the restrictive excuse nets us huge gains, the restrictive intake will net us gains eliminate the bottlenecks make power...
#41
I'm definitely interested but have the ROW airboxes now (not a problem to sell or keep them) and an enhanced solution coming (possibly a little bit more of a problem canceling that). I'll know within a few days whether I'm jumping aboard.

Just to be clear, the carbon fiber piece circled in yellow is what you are purchasing. I didn't want any confusion on the remaining front portion that will be available at a later date which is still in R&D. ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I am interested in purchasing, but i heard somewhere that C63s in different parts of the world come with different airbox designs and am uncertain whether this part would jsut replicate the stock airbox i already have. Can anyone clarify if the C63 does come with different airboxes, ie US / Europe /RoW?
I guess this might even work better with the GruppeM style intakes?
