I dont like the way that looks. Let me get you a drop bar and a new Xpipe. Something like this is not your fault and you should have a system that fits and flows as we intended.

Mike has mids with high flow cats. Get them from him. Did you get an x-pipe?
You will love the MBH headers. They are reasonable for daily driving if you ease into the throttle, use low throttle angles and keep the revs below 2500. I you stab the throttle or open it up too much it will talk to you and everyone around. I have catted mids and an x-pipe with stock resonator and mufflers. I have an EC tune with the headers and it is an amazing car to hear and feel. The shifts at wot red line are incredible in C or S mode.![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
carlssoncclass that is a fine mess your installer made. Take Mike up on his offer and maybe do this to your installers head.....![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)

Let me try to take that off first, and I will let you know if I need a drop bar to be made.
Oh, and one stupid thing my shop did is that they bend the X pipe a little bit so that they can re-install back the horizontal metal piece when they first try to install the xpipe. Do you think this is a big concern / problem that it will affect the air flow? Please see the picture below. Thank you very much for the after sales service.

I have a set of log style manifolds with a crack in it. Are they worth to repare (I own a weld shop) or don't they give ant hp gain?

Here is a link to a post by Superlubricity that shows what you might expect from log manifolds. He tested PLMs and got ~ 12RWHP.

I've gone with DPE in Australia. True merge collectors with race spike inside. RAted to support 750hp. 409 stainless. Good for right hand drive.
And... no welds inside the primary pipes or inside the flange ports. All welds are on the outside so there is no flow disturbance from surface imperfections (welds create eddies).

No pics on their website yet - but quite a few sets out there now and great results. I believe the fastest C63 in Australia runs them.

Personally I'd want my headers welded at the flange on both the inside and outside of the primarys. Inside welds are typically ground or polished down, this ensures no leaks at the flange ever. Also having welds on the inside will make sure that the transfer of exhaust from the flange to the primary fills any any gaps, which there have to be where a primary mates a flange you are looking at two perpendicular pieces of steel.
Out of curiosity what does's the fastest C63 in Australia run vs the LHD world?

Good that there are some RHD options!

Of the headers I've seen for the C63 - I do not like the welds jutting into the flow, they are not even, and as they are not hand finished, they are ugly and will create eddies.
The abrupt transition from port size to larger primary size without any inside welds to create jumps - actually helps reversion. The ultimate headers would have a port extension and the primary pipes would be flared over the top to create an air gap all the way around the port extension... that is a true anti-reversion header. But no body makes those other than as a custom made piece. F1 uses port extensions. It helps broaden the power band due to less reversion.
The Aussie car runs 11.5 at 121mph with headers and a tune to my knowledge. He ran 11.9 with IPE headers and a different tune.

How have I not seen this yet. Doing the conversion from Australian dollars to US...mean they are $690US????? Are there pics of these anywhere? They have two different part numbers, one that seems to be for RHD, and one for LHD. If this is the case, obviously shipping will be more, but not anywhere enough I'm assuming to be even close to the cheapest LTH here! Anyone have any info in those regards?
I just refuse to pay $2k+ for a set of headers knowing every other set I've bought hasn't even been close to that much.

I have not seen a set in person, or heard the tone, but noticed these on a web site:

I have installed a few X-force kits on Holdens - they are okay but not great. Typically very loud, and some models drone.

How much is the modified drop bar? I have your X-pipe and they had to remove the stock bar.

IMHO you need a quality catback with any LTH. The stock exhausts are tuned to a higher frequency, under WOT they come apart. Like someone playing a trumpet too loud.

Ordered MBH headers last week! Cant wait to get them in. I already have an MBH pipe, and a custom mid pipe to replace the secondary cats. Expecting to get the primary cats out as well. Still have mufflers on. Good thing this isn't my daily driver!!!
Does anyone have any recommendations for reliable/experienced shops in the central florida area? thanks
