Quote: Not really off topic as this thread seems to be about stolen tune files if I read it correctly.

Anyhow this individual has not been on these forums in a very long time and I am not aware of anyone here being victimized. He does most of his work face to face with the car meet crowd.
This thread is not about stolen tune files. My friend deals with guys who do tunes officially! They do it out of a MB dealer not in the US.

Quote: I did find out (and I am happy) but I'm not allowed to say as doing so may jepordize his job/career. I would say they are as good as it gets. Saying anything more could land him in trouble, sorry guys.
These comments would lead most to believe that something not above board is going on. You probably should have clarified a little more to the extent that you are able to disclose.

I understand what you are saying. It's basically the company he works for want to charge x for tunes and you only get a good discount if you bought a vehicle from them in the past. while they claim the tunes are theirs they are actually (and with some sort of official co-coperation) from companies x,y and z.

Nice! What did you think about the change in performance after the tune? What did you notice?

Dunno if it's the same tune. It's so much faster but I also realized the temps are on avg usually around 2 degrees cooler.

Interesting, I've been looking to see if it was running hotter but it's not. I'll check if it's running cooler.
