The more the AMG costs, the more expensive it is to maintain. I know this first hand as I have two AMGs.
It's just 8000 miles on it;; im sure there was smth wrong.. I have never used the parking brakes...

Ding ding ding.. we have a winner.. for the record, the parking brake/emergency brakes are all mechanical linkages, no hydraulics, no electronics in between the pedal and the rotors, just cable, springs and mechanical mechanisms to engage the pads...

If you do not periodically use it, it can, and possibly will seize up, could be in the open position, or engaged position. I have had this happen on 2 of my previous cars..

In theory, you could fix this yourself, but lubricating the cables are a pain in the butt.
