3D TFT
I just read some funny guesses about the "3D TFT" here. So guys... there are 3 things:
1. Real 3D displays (which shows 3 dimensional pictures without need of wearing 3d glasses).. you won't find these in nowadays cars.
2. "Split Screen" Displays as MB is optionally giving you in actual S class. Here the driver and the passenger got 2 different views (depending on the angle of view). This is like the pictures you sometimes have in your Kellog's cereal package :-) But it has nothing to do with 3D.
3. You can give HMI Icons and pictures some kind of effects like shadows and reflections from different light sources. Try Google Search on "3D icons" and it will give you a guess what I'm talking about. This is what you now get in the new CLS and the C class instrument panel. So you can say it's 3D (which it isn't really) but actually it's "just" nowadays fancy icon style.
It might not sound overwhelming but I can tell you it's a long way to get such icons into a car instrument panel because of a mass of regulations in a lot of countries the car is meant to be sold.

![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I am sure a lot of folks here are thinking the MCT as a dual clutch transmission. Apparently, it's a wet clutch transmission. I try to search on the MBworld but I can't find any " accurate " answers. It seems 09/10 SLS/E63/SL63/x63's MCT has some flaws. I want the new C63 to shifts like F1, PDK, MDCT, S tronic, etc. For example, I am in C mode and cruising at 100km/h. Then suddenly I use my finger - two times. Will it just bam bam? or ![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
I have driven California the up shift and down shift speed is OMG amazing.
997S PDK is so fast as well, sport + is so aggressively. Audi's S tronic is very quick. M3 MDCT is also pretty darn fast!! All these european car, I can just flip my finger - two times in " any mode " and it will bam bam makes the " BLIP " rev match sound and give you instant lower RPM power.
How about the incoming C63? I will trade in my 7G C63 for 2012 C63 if it performs like regular dual clutch transmissions.

It isn't a double clutch transmission. Why don't you go to a dealershipt and testdrive an E63 instead (the new one...). It has the MCT tranny in it. Only way for you to know how it behaves.

Why not? They don't have them in the showrooms or? At least here in Finland we don't but that's because it lives like 5 million people here of which a tiny portion could ever afford an AMG due to our taxes.
