2010 Irridium Silver MB C63 AMG Sedan
My guess is the front bumpers from either new or old will fit both platforms, with the addition of fogs/LEDs. I doubt MB wants to make new body panels for the entire "refresh", so I'm assuming the front fenders are exactly the same. So this would lead me to believe that the new headlights retain the same shape on the bottom half. It looks to me only the top of the headlights has changed, and obviously the hood as a result. So basically I think the bumpers are interchangeable, but the headlights are not without changing the hood.
I'm hoping anyway, because I think the current hood and headlights with the new bumper would maintain the aggressive look and still give it a nice refresh.

Ok. After three days of looking over the pics, I have to say I agree that the facelift softens the aggressive looks of the c63. The single slat grill and the new bumper just aren't as menacing.
Mct and two tone are must haves however.

This is just like the c36 to c43 upgrade, c32 to c55 and now 08/c63 to 12/c63..... They all got better every-time. Like it or not right now, it is all very hot and I cant wait to get to drive it with the new tranny!!!!!!

Usually most facelifts are always improvements over stock.
Most pre-FL owners are just trying to find the reason to keep their cars. lol
This is common symptom which happens to many forums when there is new facelifted model coming out.
MB did EXCELLENT job on C63 facelift.
I feel the car is much better in every way.(exterior, interior and performance.)
I think I am going to place an order for 2012 C63. (Although dealer gave me total 15% discount on 2011s)

True benefit of wet-type clutch system over conventional torque converter system is "efficiency".
MCT(or other wet-clutch system) have much less drivetrain loss, providing better fuel economy and performance.
Shifting speed is more for "marketing" and "feel" of the car.

You are obviously missing whole point.

From the Motortrend article:
The new C63 features a wider track width both front and rear; the entire front suspension has been redesigned; and a new power steering system not only enhances precision and feel, but uses less power.
Aside from all the go-fast bits, Mercedes has dropped in several new safety and luxury items. To make things just a little easier for the driver, Adaptive Highbeam Assist, Attention Assist, Parktronic, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind Spot Assist all take care of some of the more mundane tasks behind the wheel. A new Bluetooth system allows for phone book synching and the navigation now features 3-D virtual city animations.

The only thing im interested in is the MCT and if the 1/4 mile times improve with it. If not, im happy with my 2010 and the meaner look.
Everything else we can do with the 2010. Wider tires, more HP, LSD...

I guess im glad mine is an '09 rather than an '11- Ill be due for an upgrade in a year or so anyhow - I just dont see myself getting the same model (facelift or not its still the same car to me). This is unless of course my dealer calls me in 9 months with some trunk cash and a deal I cant refuse.
With all the goodies priced in Im guessing this thing will push close to $90k - I only paid 62 - thats quite the difference

But otherwise, yes I agree if I were in the market for a new C63 the 2012 model would be a no brainer. I just don't think the MCT transmission and some of the other improvements are reason enough to justify current C63 owners to get rid of their cars. I'd much rather wait for a true replacement like the W205 AMG. Maybe they'll give that car the DCT from the SLS. Then all the facelift C63 owners will be trying to justify keeping their cars lol.

From what has been reported on these forums, the MCT on other platforms has shown to have a greater drivetrain loss than the 7gtronic. I guess time will tell to see if they've made additional improvements to it, but so far I think the MCT is being hyped up a lot on here. It's not a ground up tranny but a modified 7gtronic after all, and still not on par with the PDK, DCT transmissions. What I find amusing is how some try to make the current tranny sound obsolete.
