Well, that is a shame. AutoX in an AMG is almost an oxymoron!!!!

You and me both, as we started planning the 2011 events, back in November. Management is very hard to work with when it comes to funding. At first they were like sure, provide us a calender of events. Did that, then they immediately started chopping on it, once they received our cost estimate. Bottom line 10 events chopped to only 6. I agreed to a compromise, just so we could have an event for 2011. Those dam bean counters, I tell you.

 

The problem, is that AMG holds no event in the Washington, DC area. Now the NY area, is a whole different story. I asked AMG about holding an event here, we are only like 200 miles from NY. And they calmly said that they simply do not have any events schedule for the Nations Capitol. I took that as a slap in the face, and was pissed off. But they did say, that is what our AMG Performmance centers are for. So here are I am.

Brian just emailed me, we are finally good to go for March 27th at 10:00 am. Event details are below. If you are planning on attending please add your name to the list of attendees at the bottom. We need to collect a tentative head count, to account for food and beverages etc. This would be greatly appreciated!

March- Tech session on the new 5.5Liter Twin Turbo Engine.
The session would highlight the technical specifications for the engine and review the stop and start functionality of the new motors. Discuss timeline of new product introductions and what is new for 2011 and beyond.
