I no certain guys at a MB dealer cough Manhattan cough cough that completly abuse customers cars, driving with tops down, acting like its their car, racing on the west side high way... and best of all ive actually seen a video (this is no lie) of an employee of MB doing a hugeee burnout in a S65 AMG... cant wait for the day I see my car on the streets while my car is suppose to be in "service"... hell will be raised

That ain't right. I had my last car in for airbag sensor. They added 60 miles on my odo. Chewed them out for it. They said it was function testing. If they really needed to test it, they should just run it off a bridge, not drive it.

60 miles?!!? Thats a lot. No matter what someone is gonna drive the crap out of it though. Think of how much you can do in 10 miles...

When you drop it off see the service manager and tell them you dont want the car abused and that you are writing down the miles on the odo.

Works most of the time.

Lmao just write down the miles it has before dropping it in for service... If my car has more than 10 miles extra it's a problem.

The first thing almost every dealer does when you pull into the shop is record the mileage. I do write it down anyway though.

I agree, unless im bringing it in for a wacky problem like the tranny isnt shifting right or the car pulls a bit or something that would require the tech to drive it a lot to find the problem, I would complain about anything over 10 and demand to see the manager.

Another option is to run the fuel down to almost empty before you drop it off. That tends to stop them as well because if they arent authorized to test drive it they would need to gas it up first.

There is a dealership close to me that had a car washer that took a customers C63 out one that was left at the dealership for the weekend. He in turn went out for a night of drinking and took "Facebook Photos" and then posted them. He returned the car and it had an additional 400 miles on it. They found out about that and his other "adventures" and he has been fired, arrested, and charged with 8 counts of grand theft auto.

The owner of the dealership was furious. I'm glad he got what he deserved....just need a good ole' fashioned a$$ whoopin'
