It was fun running again! Its with a new tranny, new stock converter, and the nitrous removed. Back to stock cams (for now) until the software is ready for the MHP cams. Hopefully that will be sometime in March. Until then I'm chasing a 10 second pass here in Florida. Made about 15 passes today at a private track rental and the best was the 11.07. Most all the passes were made in manual mode. The 11.07 pass was made in manual mode. They ranged from 11.28, two 11.184 passes and an 11.13 and then 11.07.
The weather was 67 degrees and the DA was about +300 so I feel pretty good about the new time. We had planned to make the trek to MIR this coming Friday but the weather doesn't look any better than what we had today. When the weather gets cold we'll make the trip back to MIR.

you and mike are going to go at it at MIR car wait to see this.

mthis, would you mind elaborating a little? Doesn't the car bang the rev limiter in M? Or are you saying that the shift times are slower in S and so M is better because of that? Just trying to follow what you're saying.

in S, the car hits the rev limiter, once that happens you lose time.
in M, you have to time it rite and you wont hit the rev limiter and be quicker.
plus shifts are faster in M then S to begin with.
"The C63 AMG is fitted with a seven-speed automatic, coined Speedshift Plus, that offers three different driving modes. C stands for comfort, and S indicates sport. The sport mode cuts shift times by 30 percent, triggers automatic downshifts on the approach to corners and descents, and blips the throttle, Ferrari-style. The purist should dial M for manual. In this position, gear changes are executed--wham, bang, go!--50 percent faster than in comfort mode. As you flick the steering-wheel-mounted paddles from one ratio to the next, you're aware that this is one of the quickest automatics on earth." -- Automobile Magazine

I guess that you have had some frustrations working through the new cams, not to mention the N20 and transmission problems and I hope that it all works out for you.
