P31 absolutely NOT worth $20,000 option price. That's insane.

Whether the LSD is a "must" is debatable, but you can always have a Quaife LSD installed for $3k-$4k depending upon install price.

Yeah, an 09 26k km driven one costs $126k. I thought it was bad here...

But alright, it's settled. No P31 for me. A tune is cheaper.

 

As predicted i had some slight problem falling asleep. This is gonna be a long 6 months...

 

Definitely the right choice.
For that money you can get a tune, coilovers, new wheels and two sets of tires

P31 is $7800 Cdn here and includes the LSD. Guess we are lucky here compared to some other countries.

Good luck filling in the time waiting on delivery. I spent a lot of time here and looking for videos to keep me amused. Fortunately it was last winter and not a good time to have a C63 on the road. My car is in storage now and it will be like getting a new car with more mods in the spring.

No, it's a special color, but still not a designo color. The designo colors were around 6-8k € whereas this one was somewhat over or under 2k, can't remember which one. When i checked out the samples it seemed somewhat brighter, yet somehow it got a sort of matte look. Very hard to explain, but it looks awesome It is actually the same color as the white one we've seen pictures of. And same matte black 19" multispoke wheels. Should look good.

 

LSD added. Thanks for the tip. I guess it's better to go off the line with two active wheels rather than one...

 

brand new c63 is selling for 170k. LSD is a 6k option here....

3.5K € here my setup would be setting me back 160k, but MB uses it as a demo the first few months which shaves off a significant amount of money from the price I'm gonna do the 1000 km run in the beginning myself.

 

Very Nice... the designo white is called Mystic White... but I would rather go for Diamond white as you said.. very good choice..

 

Thanks. I just didn't see enough "difference" between the mystic white and the other white tones to justify the 6k pricetag.

 

Perfect...heard from my dealer that the Diamond white color is unavailable for the unforeseeable future.The reason is the disaster in Japan which apparently has affected the delivery of some chemicals or something of the sorts. So..back to the drawing board.
I told him that i wanted a matte white or silver car instead in that case but the response was that designo is not offering any matte colors to the c (!?).
Any other good and special color suggestions? I don't want it to look like a generic C-class..

 

Wow that sucks. To be honest I wouldn't get the matte paint for Finnish winters. It would probably be difficult to keep it in shape.
What about calcite white?

Just order it with the cheapest non-metalic paint available and repaint it haha

Nah, my wife has a calcite white C200...
And 10000 € (+ finnish car tax) sounds kinda steep for a color :P The mercedes matte finishes seem to have a good coat on them so it shouldn't really differ much from their regular paints (at least according to mb..). Black looks awesome when clean, but the problem i have with black is that many details just kinda disappear into the color, such as the diffuser or "gills" in the front bumper.
I have some thinking to do...after all the color is in my opinion one of the more important decisions when buying a car..

A CF diffuser solves the problem of being invisible. I think black is kinda cool on the estate once clean (pics taken today)

If I were ordering a C63 right now, it would be either white (not available), black (obsidian), steel grey, or palladium silver.

 

All good colors but like i said i'd like something really different..

 

Alright, finally settled for palladium silver. i saw it on a C coupe and it looked awesome. Decided to take the P30 as well despite of the steep price. The reason was quite shallow: i didn't want a faster C63 to smoke me just because i was unwilling to spend an extra dime...

When I switched my order from black to magnetite black last week the ordering system made us click on Multimedia Package II (S32) saying Multimedia Package (320) will not be produced after 6/2011.

No idea what the difference is. My dealership is going to call the factory to figure out whats what...

If anyone here knows whats up, please chime in.
