My aunt totalled our C63... have a few questions
I live in Montreal, but this happened at our other house which is in Arizona.
Anyway, my aunt, who was not supposed to be driving this car, got into an accident with it a few weeks ago and the damage was over 30K, so they declared the car a total loss, which is good.
My question is, once we get the cheque from the insurance, which is right around $58,000, I want to go place an order for the 2012 c63 because it would be ridiculous for us to get another model like the current one since the new ones are coming so soon.
Did they say when we will be able to place orders and/or when they'll be arriving?
I flew to arizona for the week for work and to take care of the car situation, so i'll also be passing by the benz dealership to ask them the same question.
any help would be great!

Sorry about your car. My car comes off lease late summer. One of the things that concerned me about getting a 2012 C63 was having a bunch of people placing orders for the first of the 2012 C63s. Then you are in a situation where you just have to wait for the deluge to clear to get an allocation. I suspect it's going to be a matter of luck to claim one of the early slots for production.

I would place a order for the 2012 C63. I wonder how its gonna compare to the older ones.
I dont know when you can place the order for the new ones but they should be coming out pretty soon.
Talk to one of the local MB dealerships im sure they will have a good idea about when its going to be released.

As far as 2012 goes im not sure if you can order yet, but one think you can count on is taking the 58K check and bring 25-30K with you because the 2012 will probably be close to if not higher than 80K MSRP.

The 2012 C63 will debut at the new york auto show which will be around mid april-may. I reckon official orders can be taken by then. I can however say that the slots will probably be filled by then due to personal contacts to dealerships and the dealerships' own orders.

I read somewhere that you can place an order as of May 11'. NY auto show maybe? Or around that time period.
Love the 2012 C63, those headlights + tails are ridiculously beautiful, major improvement IMO. I know a lot of people don't like it but I think it's just what the C class needed! So fressh!!
