I made a mistake on the runs based on your instructions. First run I ran in S mode. 2nd shifting into 3rd just above 60 didn't help. That run was 10.9.

Second run I was in M mode. 3rd gear at around 45 MPH. I was doing fine but I shifted before the 130 mark instead of going to redline out of habit when the spedo lit up red. Maybe 2 10ths there. When I got back I saw your instructions. I did the 3rd gear start correct but I shifted before the 130.

I Need more practice and a road with a decline. Gotta do some scouting.
I messed up a few times as well

It does seem like the rpm needle can push into the red a bit before it bogs down.

Jon knows the incline spot I speak of im sure down in Mexico...

10.85 best run out of 2. Drop some weight and get on a slight decline like you guys and I should be close to your time. (High 9 low 10)

I'm waiting on tires still... mine are completely bald... 1/4 mile runs soon and more 60-130 times. I need to find a better spot....
I can't wait for my vbox times. BTW alberts modded e63 did 10.3sec 60-130. Going by my runs with him I'm always ahead by 130.

Yeah, I need a good spot and about 4-5 more tries and ill get it down. That 9.8 of yours is gonna be hard to catch though, what a run!

Nice! Did you order a performance box? When you getting it? I'm pissed its gonna rain tomorrow and today the weather was around 60F so not the best test day.

Edit: Going by my runs with you and your comparisons to Alberts car and his time, I figured I should be low 10's as well.

By next week I will get a hand on a vbox. Not going to say what I'm going to run. But if I break 9sec I will be very happy.

I think its possible with enough practice and the right conditions.

Based on my mods (Tune + Filter) I'm already happy with the 10.85 with no practice and the early shift on an incline. Ill be happier with a low 10 though.

Very easy to take them out. Just remove the screws around the box. Lift the front part and remove the charcoals on the top of airbox. Save them because the CEL might come on.

Totally agree with you on this statement. It seems like the 487hp claim is very very underated.

My ultimate question would be :
what makes more power, a P31 retuned or a regular P30 tuned?

Changing the subject, the first video shows the camera car(regular P30) mishifting and droping rpms/ If you pay attention to the tachometer you know what I am talking about. It is very clear to me that one of the reasons why the P31 pulls significantly on the first video towrads the end is because the camera car shift either from 2nd to 4th or from 3rd to 5th, just watch the video again!!

the reg car is not a p30.

also we raced in "S" mode everytime so the it was all about the cars and no driver involvement, let the car do all the shifting

edit: I see what you are saying about the shifts thou...seems like the tranny tripped out...went from 2 to 3 but the time in 3 was so short then went to 4 but rpms were a little low. I guess its good that we ran a few times. Also we started in 2nd each time
