Unless you are going to make it during week end, it is going to be difficult to get people that are north or west of you (FT Laud, Naples, Etc).

I am working on a location, I may try having it at a new local MB dealer! I need to talk to them. If I do plan this, I will try to make it big. A meet at a track is not good IMO.

Hey I just started this thing called Mercedes Benz Club of Florida, so since there's many of you from southeast florida, you should go on facebook and like the page or follow it as I'm planning an event in the end of this month or beginnning of May, which will take place somewhere in central florida as members are from all over the state!

I am just up the road in Fort Lauderdale - definitely count me in for a meet if one gets organized! It sounds like the consensus is an upcoming Saturday, right? Date TBD? I am pretty familiar with the area from Palm Beach down to Miami so if we narrow down the city I'd be happy to take the lead on throwing out some ideas for location.

Duke: Can you recommend a spot somewhere close to Ft Lauderdale. Like a park where we could meet and BBQ maybe? I think Ft Lauderdale is a good spot in between south Miami and the Northern/Western FL peeps

Markham Park - West Fort Lauderdale ... Approx. 595 & 75
Plantation Heritage Park - Central Fort Lauderdale ... Approx. 595 & Turnpike
Tree Tops Park - Central Fort Lauderdale ... Approx. 595 & Turnpike
Birch State Park - East Fort Lauderdale ... Approx. Sunrise Blvd & A1A

Hard Rock Casino - Perhaps top floor of parking deck will give enough space? Number of restaurants at casino.
Shoppes at Pembroke - Usually some large empty areas to park behind mall area. Fuddrucker's in shopping complex.
Sawgrass Mills - Usually some large empty areas near unpopular mall entrances. Number of restaurants on outskirts of mall.
Tootsie's - Large parking area and mid-day on a Saturday shouldn't be too busy. Good 'scenery' nearby and food is actually pretty decent for what it is.
