really? I know in the bmw scene a company ESS sells a supercharger kit, with a few options and there is a 600hp kit on 91 octane and a 625hp kit that is only available for 93 octane. Now im sure the extra power comes from more boost because the higher octane wont knock..and yes its boosted but id still think maybe if tuned for 93 octane an NA motor would see some gains, no?

With most of the tunes all of us are running, I'm sure higher octane fuel will allow the ecu to run more timing advance. Obviously the additional timing depends on the threshold of the specific tune. But I'm thinking even the 91 octane tunes leave a little on the table such that running 100 octane results in a bit more timing advance than running 91 octane.

Go out and test it 2 octane to me doesn't seem like allot. But idk it's like me using special instead of premium 89 compared to 93 I never noticed a difference.. Now going from 93 to a say vp oxygenated race fuel of 100+ octane give u a noticeable difference.. But I've never tested a 91 compared to 93..
On the 335i N54 platform, race gas has huge benefits as the ECU can recognize and advance ignition beyond the curve set for ordinary 93 pump gas at elevated boost levels. The same reason why methanol injection is such a big power adder for this platform. I wouldn't be surprised if it would work well on your platform as well, assuming the C63 ECU can advance ignition dynamically given the increased octane, not to mention the ability to cool your IATs.
Has anyone datalogged the ignition curve on the C63, with and without race gas on the same map?

im thinking that 9.79 stock is about as fast I can get stock and is a pretty damn good time.
You guys are on 93 octane and are in colder temperatures. Im sure those 2 variable account something. I had to go back to stock cause I took my car into the dealer to get a smog check cause I was registering it from out of state. Hadn't got to try with the tune really its been raining here on and off like crazy. But Im gonna try and get some more stock runs in while im stock.
