CLK costed over 100 because it was based on CLK... which is E-class today. C is price about 15-20k below E, so I suppose it should be in 80-90k range. Which is too close to GTR, R8 and other supercars territory.

So there:
1. If you buy a regular C63, whenever you see a BS, you'll feel... like you didn't quite get what you wanted...
2. If you decide to buy BS... you're not getting as much performance for your money as you might think... there are quite a few cars that will probably be as fast or faster than BS and offer more exclusivity at or close to that price. GTR, R8, some Jags and Porsches... 100k+ C-class just doesn't cut it, AMG or not...

And if you drive an '06 CLK500 you feel like a loser everytime you get pumped by a C63 that was 10K less and feel like you shoulda saved your money to get the BS???

R8's and Jags cant even keep up with normal C63's....exclusivity is not just about price...its also about limited production and rarity

GTR walks on $300,000 cars but that doesnt stop people from buying those cars

Nope, not at all. It was the range topper for regular MB at that time. AMG is essentially the whole new car brand. C63 to C63 BS is like C300 to C350. I always want the top model in model line. I know for many it's no an issue, but for me it is.

This statement goes both ways. C63 can bee seen as a limited edition brand monster built for enthusiasts too, just less powerful, with 2 more seats. The BS doesn't fly, is not made of alien materials, and it doesn't give you eternal life, it's just more (or less) of everything, a top model in range. So don't try to be so arrogant in your ignorance. If I was looking to buy me some AMG now, it would be BS now that I've seen it. If you can buy a 70k car, you should be able to buy a 90k car just fine (unless BS will cost way more than that, which I will be surprise if it does).

Anyone have a speculation of whats hidden under the tape beneath the rear spoiler?? Something speed and brake activated would be interesting.....

I contacted the AMG Personal Liaison Mgr at MB Canada yesterday to ask to have my name added to any wait list. He was happy to oblige but could not say 100% if the BS would make the Canadian market. Time will tell.

Only that he was aware of a "Special" project in development for the C63 Coupe and that it was a safe bet it would be a BS.

if they put some sort of air brake like the SLS and SLR, that would be amazing and would make it command a ~$120k price. even an "active" spoiler like the RS5 has would be welcome.
