It's a car culture here in So Cal. Perfect weather year 'round so you can drive your car all the time (what are 'winter tires'? LOL), long stretches of scenic roads along the beaches, twisty mountain and canyon roads--the perfect sports car environment.
I see C63's just about daily, as they are the 'entry level' AMGs so more teens and young 20-somethings are pimping them all over Orange County.

Completely agree, and even living in the Northeast where you do see a lot of high-end cars, there's just no contest.....When I was in SoCal, the sheer number of modded, hot-rodded, and all-around expensive cars was staggering. You hardly see the types of things here that you might see there almost on a daily basis, such as hydraulics, low-riders, and exotic roadsters.
In fact, I've been having a hard time finding someone around here to upgrade my S550, when it seems theres no shortage of shops out west that do it regularly. The car culture between the coasts is certainly different.
Oh yes, saw a white C63 Monday morning

Wish I could see more exotic cars. Houston may be the 4th largest city in the nation, but I rarely see any worthy cars other than pics from cars and coffee. Most exotic vehicle I see daily are Genesis coupes. Shiver.

What part of Houston are you in? I lived in the Med Center/Rice U area for 10yrs and frequented Bellaire, River Oaks and Med Center areas...awesome car culture in Houston.
BTW I saw 2 more C63's yesterday here in my area in So Cal. I see 5 C63s for every E63 and 10 C's for every CLS63. This red one was SHARP, w/the P31 package. Sounded AWESOME.

California has by far the most AMG sales of any state, and the LA basin alone accounts for the majority of that.

But I would probably be a little pissed/jealous lol if I saw teens driving around C63s...(granted I'm a 20 something but I bought the car myself!)

I've never seen another C63 in the Sacramento area or anywhere for that matter. I see a bunch of C300's. M3's are pretty easy to come by in this area. A woman owns a convertible 2010 M3 a few houses down. She drives that thing like it's a Toyota Corolla, so I can't help but laugh.
Thats funny. I bought my C63 in Sacto.

I thought an exotic car in Houston was a Toyota Tundra.

I'm curious to know how often drivers on this forum see other C63s on the road.
I'm sure part of it is because of our roads and winters but I must say it's nice to feel like I'm driving a relatively rare car.
I'm assuming guys in the warmer climates see our cars on the roads more often?

I see M3's all the time, I regularly see a silver C63 Near I270 in Columbus. I occasionally spot a different one when I'm out and about. Definately not a common car. In 2006 they only sold 451 C55's in the states. The C63 seems far more popular but I haven't looked up their production numbers yet.

I live in the San Francisco area and C63s are relatively common (obviously AMGs are never common sights....but they certainly are not uncommon here).

I bought my 06 C55 in Atlanta, GA and brought it back to Ohio. From shopping online I'd say Atlanta may have the highest concentration of AMG's. I'm sure the weather has a lot to do with it.

If any of you guys are from Australia (especially in Perth where I am), I see a different one every week... opposite to what you guys say about M3's in the US, there's about one M3 here for every 3 C63's or so

I was driving through Spain to Barcelona from Perpignon last week in a '99 911 Carrera 2 when I saw a Mercedes grill coming up on me at a very rapid rate. I was cruising on about 140km/h in a 110 zone. When the merc got to me (about 2 seconds later!) he slowed abruptly and pulled over into my lane in front of me. I saw the C63 badge and 4 guys turn around a knew what he wanted. Knowing I had no chance, I pulled into the left lane and floored it. It was like I was standing still when he took off. I backed off a few seconds later at about 180km/h, by which stage he was so far in front I could barely make him out as he continued at at least double the speed limit down the Autopista. I wish I was in my S600 so I could have kept up with him for at least a few seconds!

I live in northern California in a relatively small town. I've only seen 2 e92s and surprisingly there are 3 c63s in my town with less than 50000 population. But then again there are 2 lambos, a couple ferraris, one ford gt, and a the list goes on.

Yeah is kinda tuff living in those little Norcal towns like Ross, Kentfield, or Woodside. Some poor folks in Woodside still have to ride horses.
