Thank you.

I understand why people are skeptical. This is why I started the thread,
to help others. I've always done this, good or bad. I posted my RENNtech
air box results which I think were confirmed by propain yesterday at Atco.

Remember, this is only one vehicle, the outcome may be different on
another vehicle with different modifications.

No, the car had full interior. The only thing taken out was the
spare tire, jack and all weather floor mats. The regular AMG floor
mats remained inside.

Just to clarify.

The only thing I changed between my last two track events was the
tune and the trunk.

On April 21st, I ran my old tune, Forgestar's, my hood on Nitto DR's.

On May 12th, I ran the new tune, Forgestar's, my hood, trunk, on
Nitto' DR's.

The only difference was the tune, trunk and the DA.
Got it, thanks for clarifying the setup differences.

Darn, now knowing the tune alone accounts for most of the 0.4 sec improvement, I may just have to shell out more money for the MHP tune.

I think the tune works very well with the MBH headers. I'll have more
data this fallor sooner.

10's is still a long way away.

I have Evosport rotors being installed on Tuesday, I plan on getting
a Braille battery for track days and eventually Mickey's will be going
back on.

Not simple at all.

dodger's car is perfectly dialed in from trial and error. He's got a
few hundred passes under his belt. 10's is no easy feat but we
have a blueprint that works thanks to him.

Actually, I think mthis is going to hit 10's way before I ever do, if at all.

I don't know about that.. Hagi will be there I'm 100% sure of it, as if you want to be I'm sure you would.. Couple of track rentals and you will get it.. I've always said these are great learning experiences. There is no way anyone can expect to run great numbers without boatloads of practice,. My next feat will be runing 10s full interior and no skinnies in the front.. Forget 9s my pockets are not deep enough for that as of now..

Not trying to start an arguement-- just trying to understand the #s and maybe help.

Temps came up but humidity came down. I also ran my best times at the same time Petro did. I know my car runs better in Neg DA.

I didn't change tunes, as the humidity dropped my car started running better and faster even though the DA was higher.

Your right, I learned so much yesterday. Hagi drove my car a couple of
times and told me try launching at this rpm and eventually I hit a 1.72 60'
on that 11.41 run.

There's valuable info at these track events. More people should come.

This is my point! Many factors effect a day at the track (track prep, wind, improved skill, DA, launch, etc.). Adjusting your times based on DA is not valid. Petro inproved his time by less than a tenth, not four tenth. I appplaud his improvement! But to hold one tune up on your shoulder and proclaim they are better based on less than a tenth and 1 mile an hour improvement is a bit much. I guess my slight grip would be with the title of the tread not the report. He gave a honest report w/ no fudge.
I developed an air induction lid for F body LS cars and I am guilty of the same enthusiasm to believe in what you are doing has to be right --- even if the fact are not conclusive!
